RULES AND REGULATIONS – ONLINE EVENTS

1. The Pre-event will be happening on a virtual platform i.e., Instagram.

2. All submissions to be made as Instagram reels
3. No limit to the number of entries by participants from a Centre.
4. No centre wise points for online events
5. Likes on reels posted by Insta handle of IIA Palakkad only to be considered, post with
the maximum number of likes to be declared the winner.
6. All rights reserved with Organizing Committee (IIA Palakkad)
7. All the participants to refrain themselves from showing or using any kind of obscenity or
disrespect.
8. The time limit of a maximum of 30 seconds for each reel.
9. Participation restricted to architects/student architects and their immediate family
members (spouse and children above 18 years of age)
10. No registration charges for online events

EVENT BRIEF
1. DANCE REEL
• Dance can be of any genre.
• No restriction on language/track used in the background.
• No restriction on number of participants in each reel.
• All the participants to refrain themselves from showing or using any kind of
obscenity or disrespect.
• Time limit from minimum10 secs to maximum 30 secs.

2. DUBSMASH
• Participants are free to choose any topic/genre.
• No restriction on language/track used in the background.
• No restriction on number of participants in each reel.
• Time limit from minimum10 secs to maximum 30 secs.
• Abusive language not permitted
• The content not to be disrespectful to any religion, caste, race or political party
• Personal remarks, aspersions, character assassination, vulgarity etc. are strictly
prohibited.

3. ADZAPP
• Content should be creative, witty/funny catch lines.
• Concept should be genuine and original
• Concept to be clear and simple to understand.
• Controversial topics to be avoided.
• The contents should not be disrespectful to any religion, caste, race or political
party.
• Time limit from minimum10 secs to maximum 30 secs.

RULES AND REGULATIONS – GENERAL EVENTS

1. POINT based, CENTRE WISE competition for ever rolling trophy in the name of
late Ar. Aswathy Mohan.
2. Participation restricted to IIA REGISTERED/APPLIED architects & their immediate
family members (Spouse & children above 18 years of age). Architecture
graduates with Centre Chairman’s recommendation can also participate (in
case of delay from the University).
3. Choreographers/ Makeup artists/ Skit director etc. (backstage support) can be
non-IIA members/ non-architects.
4. Registration charges to be collected from all participating CENTRES - Rs.50000/-
per centre (minimum guaranteed pax-25).
5. Event registration via ONLINE platform only. SPOT registration won't be
entertained.
6. No limitation on number of delegates. But there will be a separate ENTRY FEE of
Rs.2500/- per head, to be paid by respective centre, for every delegate above
minimum guaranteed pax of 25nos.
7. No age limit for non-participant delegates.
8. No delegate fee for children below 10 yrs.
9. Points to be given for PARTICIPATION.
10. Maximum number of entries for each competition allowed per centre: ONE
11. Participants are required to report at the registration desk at least 15 minutes
prior to the event.
12. Centre representatives to send their audio/video tracks to the mail id:
iiamamankam@gmail.com on or before 12pm, 15th Sep 2022 and to submit the
same in pen drive to the program committee at the registration desk on 17th
Sep 2022 on or before 10am. Tracks to be in .mp4 format.
13. Centre representatives to ensure proper functioning of their audio/video tracks at the
time of submission.
14. Marks to be deducted on exceeding time limit or number of participants.
15. The Judges' decision will be final and binding.
16. Sequence of performance will be decided based on chits.

EVENT BRIEF

1. CARNATIC MUSIC
• Time limit: Maximum 8 minutes
• Solo event
• Accompanists not allowed.
• Participants not to refer lyrics.
• Sruthy box is permitted; mobile phones can be used for the same purpose

2. INSTALLATION
• Time limit: Maximum 180 Minutes
• Maximum number of participants - 6
• Maximum size of installation: 6' x 6' x 6'
• A descriptive essay to be submitted along with installation. Essay to describe the
concept & design as to how installation fits the objective of the competition
• Installation to be structurally stable
• Creative abstract expression is required - realistic imagery/drawing not permitted
• Materials will be provided at the venue by organizing committee
• Theme - on the spot

3. FACE PAINTING
• Time limit: Maximum 60 Minutes
• Number of participants - 2
• Materials will be provided at the venue by organizing committee
• Theme - on the spot

4. STAND - UP COMEDY
• Time limit: Maximum 5 minutes
• Solo event
• Participants free to choose topic.
• The content not to be disrespectful to any religion, caste, race or political party
• Abusive language not permitted
• Personal remarks, aspersions, character assassination, vulgarity etc. are strictly
prohibited.
• Basic language - Malayalam.
• Background music/ instruments not allowed.
• Neck/collar mikes to be provided
• Participants not to refer script.

5. SKIT
• Time limit: Maximum 8 minutes
• Maximum number of participants - 8
• Basic language - Malayalam.
• All clothes, accessories and props to be arranged by the participating team.
Under any circumstances the organizing committee will not be accountable
for those.
• Use of make-up, drapery and background music is allowed.
• Personal remarks, aspersions, character assassination, vulgarity etc. are strictly
prohibited.

• Abusive language not permitted
• Participants not to refer script
• No pre-recorded dialogues are allowed
• Neck/collar mikes to be provided
• Participating team to submit 3 copies of the synopsis at the registration
deck.

6. GROUP DANCE
• Time limit: Maximum 6 minutes
• Maximum number of participants - 8
• All clothes, accessories and props to be arranged by the participating team.
Under any circumstances the organizing committee will not be accountable
for those.

7. FASHION SHOW
• Time limit: Maximum 15 minutes on stage per centre including introduction
• Theme: ABOUT TIME
• Maximum number of participants - 16 (Inclusive of choreographer,
designer & other supporting members)
• There must be at least 2 group sequences in the entire choreography
• The stage not to remain empty for more than a minute in between the
sequences
• At least 1 Senior member of 50+ age to be included
• The Centres are free to utilize any clothing product of their choice for
designing and decoration
• Any form of obscenity will result in disqualification of the team from
further participation

• All clothes, accessories and props to be arranged by the participating team.

Under any circumstances the organizing committee will not be accountable
for those.
• Centres will need to clear the stage after their show (Props & accessories to be
taken back).
• Marks will be deducted on exceeding time limit or exceeding number of
participants.

8. LIGHT MUSIC
• Time limit: Maximum 5 minutes
• Solo event
• Language: Malayalam
• Can be of any genre.
• Film songs not allowed
• Participants not to refer lyrics
• Accompanists not allowed.
• Playing instrument/background music not permitted.

9. POOKKALAM
• Time limit: Maximum 180 Minutes
• Maximum number of participants - 6
• Pookkalam dimensions: Maximum 6' x 6'
• Theme: Redefining pookkalam as abstracts & patterns
• Materials (flowers/leaves only) will be provided at the venue by organizing committee
• Participants are not allowed to use any materials other than provided

10. PANEL PAINTING

• Time limit: Maximum 150 Minutes
• Size of the panel: 8’ x 4’
• Theme - on the spot
• Maximum number of participants - 3
• Materials will be provided at the venue by organizing committee

11. MUSICAL BAND

• Time limit: Maximum 10 minutes
• Maximum number of participants - 6
• Acoustic drums to be provided by the organizing committee
• Other instruments to be brought by the participants
• Can be of any genre
