CHAPTER V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the reviews of the summary findings, conclusions,

and recommendations based on the comprehended results of the evaluation

given by the respondents.

SUMMARY AND FINDINGS

The following findings of the study were results based on the summary

evaluation and testing from Chapter IV.

 The five criteria received excellent descriptive ratings from the total mean

of three different groups of evaluators based on the overall evaluation.

Construction of the Design X = 4.80 EXCELLENT

Ease of using the Project X = 4.76 EXCELLENT

Safety in Operating the Project X = 4.72 EXCELLENT

Portability of the Project X = 4.65 EXCELLENT

Maintenance Requirements X = 4.74 EXCELLENT

So the automatic disinfection tunnel using a hybrid electrical supply

system meets the evaluator’s quality, idea, and design standards, as well

as market standards.

 The electrical and non-electrical students of the College of Technology

Management gave the project portability an excellent descriptive rating,

64

while a student from different colleges of the University of Makati gave it a

very good descriptive rating, indicating that the automatic disinfection

tunnel using a hybrid electrical supply system needs further improvement.

 The automatic disinfection tunnel motion sensor had a 10 – 15 delay

before it sends a signal.

 The automatic disinfection tunnel nozzle droplet is deemed more

extensive than the expected output.

 The water pump used in the project’s prototype forbids pumping

flammable liquids.

 The automatic disinfection tunnel project utilizing a hybrid electrical supply

system did not obtain perfect 5 ratings for each criteria, stating that

something should be changed or added to the project to make it more

interesting and popular in the market.

 The final results received excellent descriptive ratings, demonstrating that

the automatic disinfection tunnel using a hybrid electrical supply system

can be used effectively in schools.

CONCLUSION
65

The following conclusion of the study was derived from the summary of

findings.

 The design of the automatic disinfection tunnel that used the hybrid

electrical supply power system has achieved its intended function and

purpose.

 The project’s portability needs further improvement to make it looks

compact and easy to transport.

 The durability of the project may lack because the researcher prioritizes

the budget for the components and device and then allocate the remaining

budget for the project’s structure.

 The motion sensor delay may cause traffic for the entering people.

 The people who walk in the automatic disinfection tunnel are expected to

get wet.

 As the project's prototype water pump prohibited the use of flammable

fluids, it can be used as the project is initially in the prototype stages.

 The project’s development of an automatic disinfection tunnel using a

hybrid electrical supply system looks to have a promising future as the use

of different alternative power sources is the trend nowadays and has a lot

of potential for improvement.

66

RECOMMENDATION

The following recommendation of the study was based on the derived

conclusion.

 The automatic disinfection tunnel, which uses a hybrid electrical supply

system, can be used by the schools as another layer of protective

measure against the threat of pandemic.

 Due to the size and weight of the automatic disinfection tunnel and its

case, the bottom must be fitted with wheels so that the project can be

pushed rather than lifted to be moved to another location.

 The automatic disinfection tunnel should have a footbath to catch excess

disinfection solution and to avoid slippery floors.

 Use an adequate programmable sensor device to control the delay and

the duration of the disinfection.

 To avoid people getting completely wet, the nozzle heads used in the

projects are appropriate for their application.

 Use the water pump recommended for the application of a flammable

fluids.

 To make the project more durable and attractive, use a lightweight metal

or material to construct the tunnel and build the case attached to it to

make it durable and compact.

 The project study will help future researchers to serve as a reference

Greetings,

We are a student from the University of Makati taking up a Bachelor of

Science in Electrical Technology and are surveying to evaluate our research

project entitled “Development of an Automatic Disinfection Tunnel Using a Hybrid

Electrical Supply System”. This is one of the requirements for the completion of

the Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Technology at the University of Makati.

The survey aims to gather information and knowledge to assess the

acceptability of the project. We researcher asks for your kind assistance in

evaluating the said instructional module on its acceptability in terms of the

following areas of concern the Construction of the design, Ease of using the

project, Safety in operating the project, Portability of the project, and

Maintenance Requirements.

We, the researchers are also requesting your honest suggestion and

recommendation to further improve his design. We are very thankful for your

participation in our survey.

Very Truly yours:
