Topic #1 Queuing Culture in Japan


1. Can we apply queuing culture in Indonesia? Why and How?

Answer: In my opinion, yes, we can because queue is about our manner as a person, it is not
only where we are, and also about how to respect the rights of other. How? Every, persons
are unique in my eyes, to made Indonesian peoples disciplined, sounds impossible but, we
can start from our self. Practice patience, be creative when waiting in line and have
empathy.

2. What is the benefit of queuing in life?

Answer: improve self-management

Topic #2 Onsen
1. What are the benefit of Onsen in people’s health?

Answer: Specifically, sodium bicarbonate and calcium found in mineral hot springs help with
good circulation in the body.

2. Why do we have to follow the rules and regulations when we go to Onsen?

Answer: there are many rules about onsen, but in my opinion why do we have to follow the
rules because it is for our safety and others person too.

Topic #3 Allergy to Pollen in Japan


1. When do the Pollen allergy usually appear? And what are the symptoms?
Answer: In many country`s area, spring allergies begin in February and last until the early
summer. And the symptoms are runny, itchy, congested nose, sneezing, itchy, watery and
red eyes, itchy ears, throat and palate.

2. Do you think pollen allergy can also happen in Indonesia?

Answer: yes of course, because the cause of seasonal allergies, like any kind of allergy, is
exposure to certain types of an allergen that makes the patient’s immune system go on
haywire. Pollen is among the most common and it can come from different sources,
including flowers, trees, weeds, grasses, and plants. Seasonal allergies caused by pollens
only come at specific times of the year. Pollen allergies are not only prevalent during the
spring. During the summer—or when the days are hot, windy, and dry—a lot of pollen swirl
around in the air, ready for inhalation by unsuspecting seasonal allergy sufferers. Rainy days
can also be the cause of pollen allergies since a lot of this plant material is washed down to
the ground by the rain.

Topic #4 How Corona Impact Our Life


1. Will corona change our daily life in future? How and please explain.

Answer: yes, and part of my life changed too. I like put make up on my face, before corona
exist, i can put any lipstick type on my lip, but after corona, we must wear masker, so i only
wear lipstick that doesn`t marked on my masker. And also, i cannot take longer vacation
with my family because there is isolation time before and after entry another country.
Masker and hand sanitizer are most production because this pandemic.

2. Do you believe that this corona virus will remain in danger forever?

Answer: no, i think it will not in forever, because there are million researchers in this world
that trying to resolve this pandemic.

Topic #5 The Japanese’s Secret Of Longevity


1. Why the Japanese women live longer than the men?
Answer: in some article that i read, there are some factors that influenced. High
functionality, few chronic diseases, low body mass index, low blood sugar, few type-2
diabetes, high HDL, low cancer rate, among other.

2. What can be learned from the Japanese lifestyle to have a long life?
Answer: health lessons we can learn from Japan, a healthy diet can help you live longer,
wherever you live. Avoid the factors that risk reducing longevity, such as a diet of fast food
and overworking.

Topic #6 Timun Emas


1. Which paragraph in Timun Emas that represent “Orientation”? Please rewrite.
Answer: Long time ago in the island of Java, Indonesia, lived a couple of farmer. They had
married for some years but they had no children. So they prayed to a monster called Buta Ijo
to give them children. Buta Ijo was ferocious and powerful monster. He granted their wish
on one condition. When their children had grown up, they had to sacrifice them to Buta Ijo.
He liked eating fresh meat of human being. The farmers agreed to his condition. Several
months later the wife was pregnant.
She gave birth to beautiful baby girl. They named Timun Emas. The farmers were happy.
Timun Emas was very healthy and very smart girl. She was also very diligent.

2. What is the resolution in the story?


Answer: when he almost catch her again and again Timun Emas threw her dressing. This
time it turned into a lake. Buta Ijo was busy to save himself so Timun Emas ran away. But
Buta Ijo could overcome it and continued chasing her.
Finally when Timun Emas was almost caught she threw her salt. Soon the land where Buta
Ijo stood turned into ocean. Buta Ijo was drowned and died instantly. Timun Emas was
thankful to god and come back to her home.
