Week 7 GM:

HF Training +
Introduction to
Internship
Volunteer Of The Week: Nancy La
I joined VCH to gain experience in the health field and
in patient interactions. Furthermore, it allows me to
practice my Vietnamese in a more professional setting.
I like that VCH is actively serving the minority
community near my hometown. At the health site, I am
to contribute back to my community by offering
services such as hypertension and letting people know
about upcoming health fairs. The quality I love most
about VCH is how welcoming everyone is, allowing me
to meet some of my closest friends in college.
Volunteers of the Week: Niki Nguyen + Tracy Nguyen
The reason why I joined VCH was because it was the perfect mix
between healthcare and community outreach. As a passionate
advocate for Vietnamese culture, I found it fulfilling to be able
to give back to the community that I was raised around.
Practicing my Vietnamese while also learning new medical
terminology helped further strengthen my overall confidence in
speaking my native tongue as well. Not to mention, everyone in
VCH is incredibly welcoming and admirable in their own ways.
I’ve formed so many connections through the club and am
looking forward to countless more in the next few years! - Niki

I joined VCH in search for a family of welcoming individuals with

the same passions and desires to serve the community and
have found exactly that in VCH. Having participated in various
vaccination drives and health fairs in high school, I love that
through VCH, I am able to continue to do what I love to do
through different medical services and interactions with
Vietnamese and Spanish speaking communities. I had a great
time at the health site and especially enjoyed fostering
relationships with both the residents of my hometown and fellow
VCHers. Super excited for all future events!! - Tracy
