Activity 3.1

Locality: Brgy. Poblacion Norte, Paracale, Camarines Norte

Interviewee’s Designation: SK Chairperson of said Barangay
Summary of the Interview:
As the interviewee and I have known each other for a long time and both live within close
proximity of our households, we managed to conduct this interview face-to-face. Right off the
bat of the interview, the interviewee immediately discussed the problems and issues among his
constituents, mainly: 1) the majority of the youth are apathetic leading to less participation in the
decision-making process of the SK, 2) lack of funds, 3) the pandemic hindering the services of
the SK, 4) there are formed groups within the community but are not legally recognized by the
Local Youth Development Office, and lastly, 5) the majority of the youth are just not politically
aware of their society. After that, the interviewee talked about the necessary steps that they are
taking in order to solve the abovementioned problems. Finally, after exchanging some
pleasantries and “kumustahan”, the interview ended.
