1.

The Ideal Filipino Woman according to Rizal is having agreeable manners, beautiful
ways, and modest demeanor, but there was in all an admixture of servitude and
deference to the words, woman whose kindness of character is expressed by
mumbled prayers; who knows nothing by heart but awits [hymns], novenas, and the
alleged miracles; whose amusement involves in playing panguingue [a card game]
or in the recurrent confession of the same sins. And that good mother does not look
like the mother that the friar has created; she must bring up her child to be the image
of the true God, not of a blackmailing.
2. No longer does by the Filipina stand with her head bowed nor does she spend her
time on her knees, because she is accelerated by hope in the future; no longer will
the mother contribute to keeping her daughter in darkness and bring her up in
contempt and moral eradication. Because Filipina of today is more focused with the
developmental changes brought by technology.
3. For me a good example will be the former actress and now turned as a nun, Ms.
Chin Chin Gutierrez who chose to leave showbiz ness anIt d focus on her chosen
vocation, because she finds fulfillment in demonstrating God's love and her faith into
actions through making her efforts and beliefs into actions.

WHAT IS THE IDEAL FILIPINO WOMAN, ACCORDING TO RIZAL?

One of Jose Rizal's most renowned pieces, "To the Young Women of Malolos," is devoted to all sorts of
women — mothers, wives, the unmarried, and so on – and expresses all he intends them to remember
as they go about their everyday lives.

So, the following are the qualities an ideal Filipino woman should have, according to Rizal:

 Responsibilities of Filipino Mother to their children:

o Raising children in the image of God

To awaken and prepare the child's mind for an excellent and ideal concept

To educate children that death with honor is preferable to life with dishonor.

Qualities Mothers have to possess:

- In Rizal's opinion, a woman builds not only a family and a home but also a nation because she bears
and gives birth, feeds, and educates.

Even though wives are expected to stay at home and care for their families, Rizal believed that they
should be able to receive an education that would help them gain independence and a better
understanding of their rights.

Become a noble wife

Should raise her children in the country's service, as Spartan mothers did.

Instill dignity and respect in the men around her.

Mothers must rise and begin preparing their children's will to everything admirable, judged by the
needed standard, truthful and solid in intent; all that is clear judgment, honest in act and deed; all that
respects God.

Advice to Unmarried Women

Appearances should not fool them

Choose a man with a noble and illustrious name

Choose a man with a masculine heart

Choose a man with a high spirit unsatisfied with the production of enslaved people

In general, Filipino Women should:

Know how to safeguard their dignity and honor

Be well-educated aside from retaining their good racial values

Be bold, aggressive, and diligent

2. WHICH CHARACTER/VIRTUE OF RIZAL'S WOMAN IS NO LONGER PRACTICED BY THE MAJORITY OF

FILIPINO WOMEN TODAY? WHY?

For me, the character or virtue of Rizal's women that is no longer practiced by the majority of Filipino
women is that they now have equal educational opportunities with men, unlike in the past when
women claimed that their inability to attend any classes in Manila's educational institutions was due to
domestic responsibilities. Women now have equal access to education as men, allowing them to achieve
their full human rights and contribute to and profit from economic, social, cultural, and political
progress. On the contrary, I have found that, as a result of equal possibilities, Filipino mothers nowadays
tend to overlook their duties in childraising due to the overarching concept of needing to earn for the
family to supplement their husband's salary. Although there is nothing wrong with working hard for the
family's welfare, people's lives must constantly be balanced.

3. GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF A WOMAN WHO YOU KNOW TODAY WHO RESEMBLES "THE WOMEN OF
MALOLOS. " (ANY FAMOUS WOMAN TODAY/IN HISTORY). WHY?

Miss Hidilyn Diaz, the courageous and lovely woman who won the first Olympic gold medal for the
Philippines, is a great model for me. She represents women, optimism, and love for the nation, just like
"The Women of Malolos." Diaz's Olympic victory inspired her to be proud of her femininity. Her victory
demonstrated that a woman can achieve great things, provided patriarchal society's expectations do not
limit her. She exemplifies that when women aspire and succeed, they elevate a whole nation with them.
She is not just lifting weights, but she is also uplifting the dignity of all Filipinos. She is, indeed, a symbol
of Filipina power, beauty, and self-love.
