1.1 [NP071 Preparation for Arrival & Departure Procedure] has been established in accordance
with the [NP011 Safety and Quality Management Manual], Chapter 7. Management of Safe
Ship Operations, Article 6.1. “Preparation for port departure,Article& 6.2. Preparation for
port entry.”.
1.2 This regulation is applicable to the shipboard duty works for the
Arrival Preparation, Arrival
Station, Departure Preparation, and Departure Station.
PROCEDURE
Preparation for departure should be carried out, as a rule, in accordance with the following
p r o c e d u r e , u n l e s s o t h e r w i s e sopredcei rably t h e M a s t e r. T h i s p r e p a r a t i o n s h o u l d b e

anchorage, unless otherwise instructed by the Master.
The result of the equipment checks must be reported to the Master and must incl
details of any deficiencies found.
(1) M a s t e r s h o u l d c o n f i r m t h e r e t u r n o f t h e l a n d e d c e r t i f i c a t e s a n d d
agent for departure formality.
(2) M a s t e r s h o u l d c o n f i r m t h e r e p o r t f r o m e a
[R R 0 7 2B e f o r e D e p a r t u r e C h e c k L i s t ] a n d s h o u l d b e k e p t t h e m o n f i
Management Record. Master should record or instructed 3/O to entrythe result of
check in the Deck Log Book.

Safety & Quality Department and/or agent before sailing port.
(4) M a s t e r s h o u l d e n s u r e t h a t t h e i n t e n d e d P a s s a g e P l a n a
t h e C h a r t s , p r o v i d e d b y 2 / O , c o n t a i n a c c u r a t e ,
information regarding those navigational limitations and ha
permanent or predictable nature, and which are relevant to the safe navigation of
the ship. Then Master should approve them.
(5) Master should reconfirm or make Clearing Mark on related chart before sailing
port to prevent ship from proceeding to the dangerous area.
(6) M a s t e r r e q u e s t s m a n e u v e r i n g p l a n o f t h e p i l o t a n d
on the bridge understand its contents thoroughly after verification/discussion with
pilot.
PROCEDURE
Preparation for arrival should be carried out, as a rule, in accordance with the following

preparation should be ready by 15minutes before the embarkation of the Pilot or port
arrival S/B according to checklist.
If the ship is to anchor, the preparation for anchoring checklist shall be used.
P r e p a r a t i o n o f e q u i p m e n t a n d m a c h i n e r y m a y b e
the arrival, under instruction of the responsible person,
not allow the extensive time delay between the test and actual use.
(1) Preparation for cargo handling should be ready under the direction of C/O before
commencement of the arrival preparation.

relevant checklist.
(3) B/S shall take measurement of FWT, BWT under instruction of C/O.
(4) C/O shall make calculation of Arrival Condition, and enter its result on [Condition
Record], and report to Master.
(5) 3/O shall make the Condition Memo and deliver it to each Dept.
(6) C/O shall direct B/S to confirm the condition of preparation for cargo operation and
arrival S/B on upper deck and the condition of mooring

Master.
* Mooring Ropes, especially High ModulusSynthetic Ropes (Dyneema) shall
be released from the storage dram to check the free of embedding bef
arrival and berthing operation. High Module Synthetic Rope
embedding or jammed on the storage dram.
(7) 2/O should carry out the trial of steering gear, nautical instrument and systems, and
shipboard internal communication equipment to be used before arrival.
(1) C/E shall instruct 1/E to check the main engine well in advance in consideration of
arrival time.
(2) 1 / E s h o u l d c h e c k a n d o p e r a t e t h e r e l e v a n t e q u i p m e n t & m a c h i n e r y a n d
their condition on Engine Log.
(3) C / E s h a l l i n s t r u c t 3 / E t o t a k e m e a s u r e m e n t o ef t tca. n, kasn da nt do b i l g e
calculate the quantity of bunker fuel at arrival, and report its result to C/O & 3/O.
(4) C / E s h o u l d c h e c k t h e r e l e v a n t e q u i p m e n t a n d m a c h i n e r y i n

C/E should record the result of check[RR305 in Engine Log Book(or Data Logger
Sheet)].

[RR305 Engine Log Book (or Data Logger Sheet)].

document since the last departure, by checking the record.
(2) M a s t e r s h o u l d c o n f i r m t h e r e p o r t f r o m e a
[R R 0 7B1e f o r e A r r i v a l C h e c k L i s t ] a n d s h o u l d b e
th e M a n a g e m e n t R e c o r d . M a s t e r s h o u l d r e c o r d t h e r e s u l t o f c h e c k i n D e c k
Book.
