Aerospace Engineering is a flourishing futuristic field of engineering with an everlasting scope that
enables mankind to look beyond the horizon and cruise a head.
Aerospace Engineering is all about flight - airplanes, spacecraft, hovercraft, and helicopters. It
includes the study of aerodynamics, aerospace structures, space dynamics propulsion, flight
mechanics and systems, and vehicle designs.
At the Department of Aerospace we have fine Lab facilities: Subsonic wind tunnel, Supersonic wind
tunnel, Desktop water tunnel, Cessna 152 Aircraft, CFD & ANSYS Laboratory, UAV Laboratory,
Aircraft Simulation Facility, 3-D Printing facility, Shock Tube & kinetic Heat Simulator, Avionics Lab
with motion control sensors guidance and navigation systems, High enthalpy facility with engines
and many more.
Three major Technology missions are driven by the faculty coordinators of Aerospace Department:
Small Satellite Technology Mission (with technical university of Berlin, Germany & Old Dominio
University, USA)
Drone Technology for Agriculture Mission
Green Energy Technology Mission
Finally, we mould and train the students with sound fundamental knowledge with finely honed
practical skills required to become top notch aerospace engineers with problem solving skills.
