urea-aldehyde resin condensation product of urea and aliphatic aldehydes In tests on animals, Laropal A 81 did not show acute toxicity when applied orally or dermally. No irritating effects on skin and mucous membranes could be observed. Laropal A 81 is poorly soluble in water and thus can largely be removed from effluents by mechanical means. No inhibition of degradation activity in activated sludge is to be anticipated when low concentrations are introduced. However, incineration is the preferred method of disposal. not hazardous under transport regulation No compounds of lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium or mercury have intentionally been added to Laropal A 81. Analyses of representative standard samples have shown that the sum of the total content of these elements is less than 100 mg/kg and thus below the limits laid down in the EU packaging directive 94/62/EC and the American CONEG model. The requirements of the EU directive on on end-of-life vehicles, 2000/53/EC, are met. By recipe, Laropal A 81 does not contain halogens. According to tests on standard samples, Laropal A 81 meets the purity requirements of the following food legislations: Europe Germany USA Resolution AP (96) 5 LMBG 5 of September 9, 1997 FDA 21 CFR 175.105, 21 CFR 176.170

Laropal A 81 does not fall under the provisions of the Agreement on Chemical Weapons and is produced without using substances that destroy ozone (Montreal Protocol on Ozone Depleting Substances).
