Scope of the Study


The scope of a study explains the extent to which the research area will
be explored in the work and specifies the parameters within the study
will be operating. Basically, this means that you will have to define what the
study is going to cover and what it is focusing on.

Limitation of the Study


The limitations of a study are its flaws or shortcomings which could be the
result of unavailability of resources, small sample size, flawed
methodology, etc. No study is completely flawless or inclusive of all possible
aspects.

What is a capstone project vs thesis?


A capstone project attempts to address an issue in the field by applying
existing knowledge toward a real-life problem (often in the form of fieldwork).
A thesis seeks to create new knowledge through student research, trying to
prove or argue a hypothesis, rather than just investigate a topic.
Document tracking system is a system that enables an organization to track
the movement and status of an electronic and paper documents. The system
can provide a variety of reports on the documents, such as how many
documents there are. The system can also track the history of the document,
including who created it, when it was created, and how it has been used.
Document tracking system can be helpful in managing the flow of information
within an organization and can help ensure that all documents are processed
and tracked properly.

A document tracking system can improve the efficiency of an office by automating the tracking of
documents and their revisions. It can also help to improve communication by providing a searchable
archive of all communications related documents. Overall, a document tracking system can provide
many benefits to an office or an organization, making it easier and more efficient to work.

This system has been developed to provide a management in


records. The system gave help to maintain, preserve undergraduate
and graduate thesis and remain retrieval for as long as they are
required. The focus of this particular system concerns electronic
record keeping concepts that need to be understood in the larger
context of record information management, electronic record
management, and other aspects of information technology. In
addition this system is design for managing and maintaining the
records.

The proposed archive management system is responsible to improve the


consistency of the document process electronic based system. It can also
minimize the accuracy of time in scanning the documents.
This project is also known Record Information Management system or RIM is
professional practice or discipline of controlling and governing what are
considered to be the most important records of an organization throughout the
records life cycle, which includes from the time such records are conceived
through to their eventual disposal. This work includes identifying, classifying,
prioritizing, storing, securing, archiving, retrieving tracking of records.
Objectives of the study
This study is to develop a convenient Electronic based thesis archive
management system. Specifically it aimed to:

 Provide security for the records.


 Life cycle of documents
 It can easily search the thesis record of the students if they are already submits or not.
 Provide easy access of information such as the title, name of the group and the date of
submission.

Scope and Limitation


The system can:

 Easy to use and manage.


 Stores all the records of the thesis.
 Provide backup in case of loss of records.
 Track the record that has been submitted by undergraduates as well as the master degree.
 Generate lesser time in scanning their records.

DESIGN OF SOFTWARE WITH PROCESSES


The researchers created a design based on the result of the requirements
procedure to be developed. Figure shows the Decomposition of Thesis
Archiving Management System.
Decomposition of Thesis Archiving Management System
The Thesis Archiving Management System consists of two pages, one for the
admin and the other for the students/users. The admin consists of three
categories, manage thesis document of the students in order to provide
inventory list, update and add new records. In the transaction, it includes the
borrowing and returning of the thesis books. And the last is the database that
can also provide back- up and restore all the records. On the other hand, the
students or users can view and search their document if they want. The admin
will take in charge for the system’s operation maintenance.
