Ball bearings absorb axial and radial loads from the shafts. roller bearings absorb only
radial loads.

4. What is the purpose of engine fuel and control system?

Calculates the amount of fuel tank needed to perform the commanded thrust

Sends fan discharge air to the low pressure turbine (LPT) case. the air flows through the
LPTACC valve

VBV also keep water out of the HPC and prevent foreingn object damage

12. What is the function of thrust lever resolver?

The thrust lever resolvers change the mechanical forward and reverse thrust lever
positions to analog.

Changes the direction of the fan air exhaust to help create reverse thrust.

The engine oil system supplies oil to lubricate, cool, and clean the engine bearings and
gears

of the upper forward fuselaje the emergency exit doors are above the wings.
