I am Dario Vivanco, Mining Engineer with over 10 years of mining operations, planning and
project development with strong experience, technical and soft skills.
I am very excited to apply for the position of Principal, Operational Technology Analysis
posted in Lundin Mining web page.
I Gained leadership experience during my time as a Principal Mining engineer in Vale Base
Metals where I was required to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Identified $10 million in cost reductions out of a $220 million operating budget. Launched a
series of high-profile process initiatives, productivity improvements and quality initiatives that
saved an additional $13 million in operating costs in Underground mines and Open Pit.
Managed KPI’s and support the senior leaders to achieve the budget targets with a focus on
continuous improvement / managed operation safety, technology programs and environmental
programs (hazardous waste, air emissions).
