Respondent No. 3.
16:45:40 IST
Reason:
2

Since Respondent No. 3 is apparently a representative of the

contesting respondents, we do not think it necessary to issue

notice to the other respondents.

It is not necessary, in the nature of the order we propose to

pass, to go into the details of the case. We direct the petitioner

to deposit an amount of Rs. 50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lakhs) before

the High Court of Judicature at Madras within a period of three

weeks from today. On such deposit, Direction No. (iii) at

paragraph 6 of the impugned order dated 27.04.2018 shall stand

vacated.

In view of the above order, there shall be stay of all other

directions at paragraph 6, including the registration of the

criminal case and suspension of practice etc.

We make it clear that in case any similarly situated victims

approach the High Court, the petitioner shall deposit the amount at

the rate of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) each in the case of

such people. However, we also make it clear that in case only 25

people claim the amounts of refund at the rate of Rs. 1,00,000/-

(Rupees One Lakh), the balance shall be disbursed to the

petitioner, after three months.

Subject to the above directions, this Special Leave Petition

is disposed of.

Pending Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand disposed of.
