PRIVACY, STRIKING DESIGN PLUS SAFETY!

Set at the gateway to Silicon Valley, between the McCarthy Ranch and Pacific Commons office parks, the Fremont
Marriott is conveniently located at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay just north of San Jose. As the only
full-service hotel in Fremont, it provides an elegant and accommodating atmosphere, near numerous Bay Area
attractions, the Napa Valley and world-renowned high-tech headquarters.

For after work hours, the hotel offers

excellent dining and recreational facilities,
including a luxurious indoor swimming pool
and adjoining health club. The indoor pool
is set between a parking area on one side
and the health club on the other. It was
encircled by a translucent glass wall that
allowed arriving guests and health club
patrons to clearly see into the pool. thereby
offering little or no privacy for the bathers.

Management decided to remedy this

situation and called on the services of a
local LLumar® window film dealer who
quickly came up with a solution, which
would at once provide privacy and make
the pool area even more attractive.

Rather then etching the glass, which had been considered, the LLumar® dealer suggested using a new glass
enhancement film product, which is retrofitted to the glass and can be easily removed and replaced. Glass etching
is costly and missteps are nearly impossible to correct. Moreover, the chemicals used in the etching process are
harsh and cleaning can be a challenge.

Glass enhancement films are offered in an array of colors, patterns and designs including dots, thin and wide stripes,
solid frosts and much more. LLumar® frosted film with a large square pattern -- a large square patterned frosted film
was selected to give aesthetic appeal and obscure viewing. The film reduces light transmittance by more that 30%.
Moreover the application of the window film adds to the structural integrity of
glass and provides a safety benefit in that it also helps holds shattered glass in
place in the event of impact.

Thanks to LLumar® decorative film, bathers at the Fremont Marriott pool are
now in more attractive surroundings, out of view and safer.
