1. Lili eats cheese every day, doesn’t she?
2. I said that already, didn’t I?
Question tags for Modal Verbs
For example:
1. You will fail the exam, won’t you?
2. You can’t drive a car, can you?
Exception!
Question tags are the small questions that come at the end of I am late, aren’t I?
sentences. We use question tags to check whether something is true Let’s go to the beach, shall we?
or to ask for agreement. There aren’t any spiders, are there?
• For example: This is Putra’s bag, isn’t it?
He’s a doctor, isn’t he? (Dia dokter, kan?) Don’t forget, will you?
You haven’t eaten, have you? (Kamu belum makan, kan?) This was easy, isn’t it?
