I am writing a report that aims to locate 10 Web sites. Five of the sites will include learning
strategies or reusable learning objects (RLOs) for English learners and five sites must focus on teaching
and learning strategies for either pedagogy or andragogy. The following are 6 websites that includes
strategies or reusable learning objects (RLOs) for English learners:

1. https://www.youtube.com/c/KhanAcademyEspanol/playlists
This YouTube channel was developed by Khan Academy; it provides different videos in
Spanish and English related to science, engineering, and math. The videos are in Spanish
and English; therefore it is helpful for English learner students and engineering class
teachers can use them as a tool to support students.

2. https://www.nasa.gov/about/highlights/En_Espanol.html
This website is developed by NASA, it provides engineering resources for teacher and
activities for students that can be used during a class lesson. Resources are available
both, in Spanish and English language.

3. https://www.legendsoflearning.com/
This website focuses on different interactive games in different academic areas including
engineering. Legends of Learning now offers Spanish translation for a majority of games
allowing English Language students to take the advantages of this website, specifically
for this assignment, teachers can use the website to develop activities that students can
do (RLO)

4. https://tie.uic.edu/student-services/cool-esl-sites/
This website developed by the University of Illinois Chicago offers different websites
useful for English Language students. The resources are broken down by topics, I believe
the research part can be useful for engineering class students, because it can be helpful
to acquire research tools that could be considered learning strategies that students
need to help them succeed academically.

5. https://www.colorincolorado.org/search-page?s=engineering
Colorin Colorado is a website that serves educators and ELL students. The website
provides free research based information in a variety of topics including engineering,
the class I teach. From this page, teachers can develop RLO’s and get obtain ELL
teaching strategies.

6. https://www.teachercreatedmaterials.com/blog/article/six-effective-speaking-
strategies-for-ells-virtual/
Teacher Creative Material website has several blog spaces where teachers can find
strategies to teach English Learner students both digitally and in person.

The following are 5 websites that are focused on teaching and learning strategies for either pedagogy or
andragogy.

7. https://kahoot.com/schools-u/
Kahoot is an online platform that helps teachers to develop interactive material to
students. This approach help students or any age (pedagogy and andragogy) to
participate using a phone or computer.

8. https://www.mentimeter.com/
This online resource helps teachers to develop presentations, interactive polls, quizzes,
and word clouds. These tools help teacher to increase student participation in a real
time setting regardless of their age as long as the students know how to write, read, and
use the internet. According to other teacher, “Mentimeter allows everyone to ask
questions, to get clarification or a clearer understanding on subjects resulting in a more
fulfilling learning experience."

9. https://padlet.com/features
This platform helps teacher to create single or multiple digital walls where students can
collaborate by including or posting comments. The website is not limited to text;
teacher can include videos and images to documents and audio. This helps increase
student participation regardless of their age as long as the students know how to write,
read, and use the internet. The website is very ELL inclusive; it is currently available in 42
languages.

10. https://www.quizizz.com/
Quizizz is a website that allows the creation of quizzes in a game format. The website
makes assessments fun and engaging (For students) and it helps teacher to assess,
instruct. According to the webpage, 86% of teachers in the U.S. schools have created
and shared 30+ million activities.

11. https://www.ted.com/topics/engineering
TEDTalks is a website that is devoted to spread ideas, for the most part in the form of short,
powerful talks (18 minutes or less) and learning videos. Students can learn from this page
and teachers can use as a strategy to engage students in many different areas of
academics, including engineering.

Additionally to the creation of this memo, the URL (Web address) for each of these Web sites is
posted to my teacher blog.
