Growing Information for Seedlings

1. Sow tomato seeds ¼ in deep in

seed-starting formula indoors 6-8
weeks before the last frost in spring
using a seed starting kit.

2. Seedlings should emerge in 7-14

days. Give these seedlings plenty of
light for 16 hours each day for 3-4
weeks or until they have at least 3
pairs of leaves each.

3. Before planting in the garden,

seedling plants need to be
“hardened off”. Slowly accustom
these seedlings to outdoor
conditions.
