NET ZERO
BUILDINGS
These days many contractors are aiming to build Net-Zero
Buildings as these are the structures whose energy use is
essentially balanced by their energy production. This kind of
construction project aims to reduce carbon emissions, water
use, and solid waste transportation to landfills.
Climate Resiliency
Climate Resilient design stands for the designs structures,
landscapes, regions, and communities in a way that they can
withstand both natural and man-made calamities or disaster as
well as the long-term effects of climate change.
distributed
energy systems
A distributed energy system (DES) controls generation,
storage, and energy monitoring solutions. The system can
monitor and keep track of a building's performance, including
heating, cooling, lighting, and more, using sensors, meters, and
actuators. It can also make recommendations for lowering
expenses and boosting dependability.
alternative building
materials
Alternate building materials are those which can be used
economically by replacing conventional building materials.
Alternate building materials are made from waste products and
thus it even minimizes environmental pollutions. Following are
some of the new and alternate building materials used in
construction works:
Aluminum, Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics, Bamboo
reinforced plastics, Ferro-cement, Polyester Fibers
Green building benefits
Reduce operating costs
Improve air and water
quality
Reduce material use and use
low-impact materials
Improve overall quality of life
REDUCE OPERATING COSTS
One of the greatest benefits of green buildings
are their lower maintenance costs – featuring
specially-engineered design elements to lower
energy consumption and help reduce energy
cost and water bills for each occupant.
IMPROVE AIR AND WATER
QUALITY
Green buildings effectively reduce air pollution through
reduced energy use, the use of appropriate refrigerants,
the use of materials with low off-gassing, and other
steps. On the other hand, water use typically results in
draws of clean water from the environment and delivery
of contaminated water back to the environment.
REDUCE MATERIAL USE AND
USE LOW-IMPACT MATERIALS
All materials carry embodied environmental
effects, in that there are environmental and
ecological consequences as a result of their
production and use through their life cycle.
IMPROVE OVERALL
QUALITY OF LIFE
From interior design elements like improved lighting
sources, thermal conditions, ergonomic features and
even upgraded air quality, occupants residing or
working in green structures have experienced a
marked improvement in their health, stress levels and
overall quality of life.
