Practical Research 2 Quarter 2- Performance Task

Activity 5

1. I. What statistical tools/techniques you will use to analyze

deeply your data and why?
 The researchers will use the Friedman’s Test to test the Significant
Difference in Terms of Effectiveness, Color, and Odor. It is used to
determine whether any of the difference between the medians are
statistically significant, compare to the p- value of the significance level
to assess the null hypothesis.
 Then, the researchers will use the LSD Fisherman’s Results and
Interpretations to interpret if there’s any significant differences between
the treatments in terms of Effectiveness, Color, and Odor.
 Lastly, the researchers will use the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test to
test the significant differences between the best treatment of the Bani
and Mango Leaves Liniment in terms of Effectiveness and
Acceptability of Color and Odor.
II. Indicate your data analysis.
 In terms of Effectiveness
Based on the result of the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test, for
effectiveness, the null hypothesis is rejected. This means there is
significant difference between the best treatment of Bani and Mango
leaves liniment and the commercial liniment in terms of effectiveness.
 In terms of Color
Based on the result of Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test, in terms of color,
the null hypothesis is accepted. This means there is no significant
difference between the best treatment of Bani and Mango leaves
liniment and the commercial liniment in terms of color.
 In terms of Odor
Based on the result of Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test, in terms of Odor,
the null hypothesis is rejected. This means there is significant difference
between the best treatment of Bani and Mango leaves liniment and the
commercial liniment in terms of odor.

2. Conclusions and Recommendations

This chapter presents generalizations, conclusions and the researchers’
recommendations to the problems discovered in the study.
Conclusions
Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that:
1. Among the five treatments of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn)
and Mango (Mangifera Indica) liniment, the most effective and
acceptable in terms of color, and odor is treatment three (50 ml
Bani leaves + 50 ml Mango leaves extract).
2. Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica)
can be used as a liniment.
3. There is a significant difference among the treatments of Bani
(Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica)
liniment in terms of effectiveness, color, and odor.
4. Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica)
liniment is comparable with the commercial one in terms of
effectiveness, color, odor and cost.
Recommendations
With reference to the above mentioned conclusions, the following
recommendations were formulated by the researchers:
The researchers would like to recommend the following:
1. Additional research and studies must be made on other uses of
Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica).
2. Further study on the components of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata
Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica) to improve this study.
3. Mass production of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango
(Mangifera Indica) plants.
4. Determine other plants with analgesic properties to be used in
further studies.
