ANTAGONIST:
Arachne- was a gifted weaver. Arachne was no ordinary weaver and the very act of

IV. PLOT: ( Write in 10 important events)

than one of the gods.

and weaver.
4. They were terribly afraid as they realized that they stood in the presence of Athena.
Arachne herself flushed red for a moment, for she had never really believed that the
goddess would hear her.
5. But Arachne was also proud and stubborn, so she led Athena to a loom where they began
their spinning and weaving contest. Both of them created beautiful cloth, but the goddess
moved faster.
6. When the goddess saw this insult glowing in bright colors on Arachne’s loom, she did not
wait while the cloth was judged, but stepped forward, her gray eyes blazing with anger,
and tore Arachne’s work across
7. The goddess touched the rope and touched the maiden. “Live on, wicked girl,” she said.
“Live on and spin, both you and your descendants. When men look at you they may
remember that it is not wise to strive with Athena
8. Arachne’s body began to change. The people soon saw a small dusty brown spider
hanging on a thin thread. All spiders come from Arachne. When Greeks saw spiders, they
remembered that it was not wise for humans to say they are equal to the gods.

Issues, not only about them, but about other people as well. And for this reason, the
stories have  spread more and more to more people.  And most of the time,  it may not be
true.  Arachne was small and pale  because of a lot of effort.  At last, the fame of Arachne
had become so great that  People have come from far and wide to watch her work.

VI. CONFLICT:
The story of Arachne presents a man versus self conflict. Arachne was a very talented
weaver who could weave the most beautiful cloth anyone had ever seen. She was always
praised for her beautiful work and this made her haughty, boastful, ungrateful and
complacent.

VII. RESOLUTION:
Arachne lost to the Goddess and therefore declared the loser of the contest. And ths, Arachne
