- Write a focus discussion. For example, if you discuss about
nanoparticles, focus more on your application such as nanoparticles in biosensing. - Avoid jargon – use a simple language especially for a reader new in the field to understand. Explain the basic concepts for someone who is new to the field. - Identify what is the purpose of the reviews such as the chance to contribute insights to the scientific community and identify opportunities for your research. - Form a team in different area of expertise - to get a variety of perspectives. - Timely and clearly explain why readers should pay attention to the proposed topic. - Provide a discussion about disagreements in the field. - Review figures are important. Presents a plot bringing together data from multiple research papers (many of which directly contradict each other). This is then used to identify broad trends and suggest underlying mechanisms that could explain all the different conclusions. - Explain using schematic diagram – use free drawing tools. (i.e autodraw, inkscape) - Stay updated and be open to suggestions. - Make good use of technology. (Mendeley, Endnote, Grammarly, Quillbot, Turnitin).
