EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The GLEAM Saltwater Lamp aims to bring light to people in the most convenient
way we can. Providing a cost-effective and ecologically safe lamp that is easy to
use anytime, anywhere.

A new promising renewable energy source that uses the conductive nature of
saltwater to generate electricity. A study has been carried out to develop and
manufacture saltwater-powered devices, particularly for rural and remote
communities. The use of these natural resources in the Philippines allows for
less maintenance than a kerosene lamp, which can last twice as long and
provide them with access to light and electricity throughout the night.

The company is open to any expansions, whether might be partnerships or

collaborations. The company is trying to find the perfect suppliers to ensure the
quality of the lamps to be made.

The proponents of the business are the eight members of the group who are
considered as entrepreneurs. Each member contributes to the company and are
divided based on their skills and capabilities. The proponents believe that
dividing them based on their interests can make the business successful. The
business proponents also act as the resource mobilizers and financial backers as
they share the capital for the business. The company is open to anyone who is
willing to invest to continuously improve the business.

Suppliers are from a plastic ware company that will provide the outer cover for
the lamps. Hardware to provide other materials and equipment such as wires and
bulbs. All with high quality at an affordable price. Lastly, partners from trusted
electrical company who are likely to make polished works to make sure the
lamps that the company will produce will be safe and effective.

MARKETING PLAN

Marketing Mix
1. Product
1.1 Primary Features of the Product
A Saltwater lamp is a product that provides light using salt and water as its
source of power. It has two metal rods inside that are the electrodes, and
when saltwater, the electrolyte, is added to the lamp, it creates light and
electricity for eight hours. It also has a USB Port to charge any devices
like mobile phones etc. The product also does not emit any harmful gas.

2. Place
2.1 Distribution Channels
The entrepreneurs will use a dual-channel in distributing their products to
promote the product itself and cater to more customers. Aside from the
website, the head office, and future store branches which will be used as
the medium of contact for direct customers, they can also avail of the
product at different home ware shops such as AllHome, Abc Décor, Ace
Hardware, and SM Department Store.

2.2 Strategic Placing in the Market

Due to the continuous threat of the pandemic, the entrepreneurs shall
contact their customers virtually. They will make use of a website as their
medium for communication and direct transactions. The entrepreneurs
value the safety of their customers as much as their generation of profit,
and so they believe that this will be the most optimal way to reach their
target market. Additionally, the consumers will also be able to avail of the
product at official distributors such as AllHome and Abc Decor or smaller
Home ware retailers. For reparations and appointments, customers will be
able to reach the team at the head office.

Page | 8
3. Promotion
3.1 Advertising
The entrepreneurs will invest in posters and billboards where they can
build awareness outside of the internet. In addition, the entrepreneurs
shall also invest in social media advertisements. Due to mainstream
media, the product shall reach their target market digitally. An example
would be Facebook, which is one of the most popular social media
platforms in the country. Through the utilization of Facebook
advertisements, the entrepreneurs will be able to establish a foothold in
the community, eventually leading to an increase in audience and
customers.

3.2 Sales Promotion

In the first months of the release of the said product, the entrepreneurs
would offer price discounts to get the attention of possible customers. It
would serve as support for foothold establishment, and thus will
hypothetically last for a few months at most. Services such as after-market
support will also be readily available and in line with the release, as well
as discounts for the first reparations. Customer support will also be
established to build mutual trust between customers and the company. In
line with the monthly sales of numerous online shopping platforms, the
entrepreneurs would also aim to give monthly promos in order to
continually attract customers.

Page | 9
4. Price
4.1 Pricing Strategy
Since the product is new to the market, the entrepreneurs decided that the
most optimal strategy to use is the Cost-based pricing. It is a pricing
method based solely on the cost of resources and additional markups.
After the computation of the estimated expenses and markups, the
introductory price shall be set at 900php.

Page | 10
Marketing Strategy
When the Saltwater Lamp is already advertised in the markets, for every
purchase of the product the 10% of the price will be donated to help us donate
free GLEAM Saltwater Lamps to our fellow Filipino citizens in rural and remote
areas here in the Philippines to help them meet their lighting necessities.

Marketing Budget
For the months of May, June, and July, the teasers will be released to arouse the
curiosity of the people about the product. In the month of July, the product will be
released on the market. Every month, the advertising manager of the company
would continuously be active in social media advertisements before and after the
release of the product. Distribution of flyers and other advertisements will be
started after the product is made available to the masses. Various promotional
activities will start beforehand to make vouchers and pre-orders available. The
estimated budget for the promotions will be 210,000php.

for the manufacturing process or the making of the product with an added
