~a utopian POV for the world to enjoy~
We are a Desi nostalgic company we love celebrating things that didn’t include POC, Queer folks and any one who was left out .
We love creating a utopian POV for the world to enjoy.
ABOUT
Roch Studio
The brand to its core is nostalgic and sustainable, zero-waste
production, and made-to-order items. Being highly conscious and
ethical about our business is the topmost priority; We at Roch believe
that colors and clothes have no gender. Playing with silhouettes and
colors to take you back into a time yet being so glammed up and ready
to the world as your runway.

We believe the fashion industry takes itself too seriously and have
completely forgotten how to have fun and create out of curiosity, it’s
only when one is at its happiest and most confident when great
creations are generated and we at Roch are firm believers of that.

Our fashion inspiration comes from our inside our houses and the
memories we’ve bout through the years. We love to incorporate small
little details from our Indian culture & heritage that steps us apart
Marigold flower with its rich Indian roots symbolizes and represents a cycle of
birth and death.
How one thing is born and tends to ashes cycle which represents circularity and
sustainability
The marigold in itself is a form of celebration , a form of festivities ,a form of
happiness and joy.
We at Roch believe that nothing should deplete our earth, especially not what we
wear hence our values are such to preserve and save the environment and be
conscious about our choices; with organic and sustainable materials for
production to ethical treatments of our coworkers and employees.

Roch studio is an unit of SOSA SHAKUNTALAM FASHIONS PVT LTD.

We work with local women artisans who help us create our vision and
make our dreams come into reality.

We believe in empowering artisans on ground zero so that the art doesn’t

die down. We ensure that all our employees and artisans are ethically
treated and get fair wages!

We have a group of women artisan in the hills of Himachal who hand

crochet each garment! A single ‘Patti crochet pant’ takes about 9-10 days
to finish by hand.

LEARNING & FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS
Through the experience of the ' Live Industry Project' Module, onewould gain deep insights about the social, cultural and technical
functioning of the Fashion Industry, from an insider's point of view. It has effectively tried, tested and polished previously taught skills
and more in a challenging experiential environment.
An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. It is an opportunity that employers
offer to students interested in gaining work experience in industries. Earning a fashion internship was an important step toward realizing
my dream and potential of working in the fashion industry. Interns are often hired by fashion houses to assist in the day-to-day operations
of the company. From my personal experience I would like to say that internships are really important because it gives you an insight you
always needed to understand the industry. Even though its a short period of time, the amount of people that we can meet and connect for
future leads is a great way to make contacts. Communicating with people is another important thing I learnt there. I got to work on my
communication skills better on how to communicate with clients, artisans, pattern-masters, peers , seniors etc. Time management was
another important factor be it reaching the work place on time or the delivery of the work due. I understood workspace culture better. I
learned that every company or organization has its own culture and that it is essential to observe others and learn how they engage and
interact with co-workers, karigars and clients. I quickly learned that whenever something is unclear for me, or I don’t understand, it’s
okay to ask questions. I got to put my knowledge and skills into practice. All the skills and knowledge I gained at college was able to put
into a practical use in the industry. I gained more insights about Post- Production, the logistics and Price distribution of a piece, handling
business with Third-Party selling platforms. As an intern, I discovered it’s essential to be enthusiastic and open to learning new skills and
being curious to learn and ask questions. This attitude will show that you enjoy being part of the team and that you're keen to help.
Having curiosity and enthusiasm also means that, as an intern, you get a lot out of what you’re doing, which opens a lot of opportunities
in the long run. Overall it was a rich experience in helping me discover my potential and capabilities and how far I can push myself . It
also helped me make contacts for future potential work. Lastly, it helped me grow both professionally and personally by reinforcing
theoretical knowledge with practical experience. And I am utterly grateful for this experience.
