INTRODUCTION
Over the past few years, it was believed that the global rubber output was extremely
unstable. India consistently produces 6% more rubber each year than other countries do.
India's rubber business is expanding as its foundations become deeper. India is the
world's largest producer of natural rubber and the third-largest user of the material. The
expansion of the Indian rubber sector is important for the world economy.
India's economy is among the fastest-growing in the world as a result of these causes, as
well as the rapid expansion of the car industry and several big and medium-sized
businesses. Nearly 90% of India's entire production of natural rubber comes from the
main producer of rubber, Kerala. Together, Kerala and Tamil Nadu account for 86% of
the entire land used for rubber plantations.
The report is prepared to take into consideration any industrial product. We have chosen
the Rubber industry. The report includes a brief description of the rubber industry in India,
what exactly rubber is, its various features, and types of rubber. Also, rubber production
and consumption in India are highlighted with statistical illustrations. Further, the tentative
usage of rubber and industrial rubber products is done.
Major market leaders of rubber and its regulatory body in India are covered. Details of
local players in rubber production in Indore and nearby places are also analyzed. The
data related to import and export is shown using tabular illustrations, and PESTLE
analysis is also done to understand all the aspects of the rubber industry.

RUBBER INDUSTRY
What exactly is rubber?
Usually, they just say "rubber" without saying what sort. Although there are several
varieties of rubber, they may all be broadly divided into two categories: natural rubber
(latex produced by plants) and synthetic rubber (made artificially in a chemical plant or
laboratory).
1. Natural Rubber
Natural rubber commonly referred to as gum rubber or Indian rubber, is made from
the milky liquid, or latex, produced by the Hevea Brasiliense's tree. High tear and
tensile strength, resilience, and resistance to abrasion, friction, severe
temperatures, and water swell are a few of the material's main qualities.
Adhesives, flooring and roofing, gloves, insulation, and tyres are a few examples
of common usage.
2. Nitrous Rubber

and adhesives. It is suitable for use in high-pressure gaskets, belts, window and
door seals, and high-pressure gaskets due to its ability to maintain strong
mechanical qualities throughout a broad temperature range.
3. Sulfated Rubber
4. Nitrile Rubber
6
seals, and O-rings. Since it doesn't include the allergenic proteins found in latex-
based rubbers and keeps its structural integrity better than silicone rubber, it is also
utilized in medical items (such as surgical gloves).
5. EPDM Rubber
The synthetic rubber known as ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber
has exceptional endurance, avoiding deterioration and damage from harsh
temperatures and weather. Due to these characteristics, it may be used in exterior
components and goods including hoses, seals, and roofing sealants. It is suitable
for use in automotive systems thanks to its outstanding noise and heat insulation
qualities.
7. Rubber Butyl
One of the materials with the greatest degrees of gas permeability is butyl rubber,
sometimes referred to as isobutylene isoprene. Due to this characteristic as well
as the material's exceptional flexibility, it may be used to create airtight products
like sealants, sports balls, and inner tubes. It is frequently added as a liquid
ingredient to chewing gum, diesel, and petroleum fuels.

Various uses of rubber in Industries:
• Rubber molded items, such as rubber goods and appliances, are widely utilized in
the industry (and in certain residential applications).
• Garden hoses and pipes made of rubber are utilized in small-scale gardening
applications.
• The majority of automotive tyres and tubes are made of rubber. As a result, rubber
is extremely vital in the vehicle and transportation industries.
• Rubber is also used in matting and flooring applications.
• Rubber is commonly utilized in the production of protective equipment for medical
workers, such as medical gloves.
• Vulcanized rubber, a specific form of rubber created by cross-linking polymer
chains with disulfide bonds, is commonly used in sports equipment. The pads and
guards used in the popular sport of cricket, for example, are constructed of
vulcanized rubber.
• Uncured rubber is well-known for its use in adhesives and cement, making it a
popular commodity in the construction sector.
• Rubber that has not been cured is also employed in friction tapes and insulating
materials.
• Crepe rubber is frequently used to make insulating footwear and blankets.
11
• Somewhat soft rubber varieties are known to have a wide range of uses in the
construction of conveyor belts.
• Certain varieties of rubber are suited for use in printing presses due to their
flexibility.
• Rubber is also used in the production of balls, balloons, and cushions.
• When we say industrial rubber products, we mean numerous items and objects
made of rubber that are utilized by various industries. Rubber is such an essential
substance that it is used in both industrial and home applications. Its relevance in
modern life is comparable to that of wood and steel. Rubber is classified into two
types: natural and synthetic.
• Even a tiny child is aware of the use of rubber in school. Rubber is utilized by
everyone and has several applications. It is utilized at home, at work, in factories,
and a variety of other settings. Rubber is used in practically every sector, including
automobiles, trains, and airplanes. Some toys from which children can play

Presently players in the rubber industry have changed to non-edge products for example
Shape Plan and Creation, Rubber to Metal Holding, Texture Supported to Rubber
Embellishment, Restored on Wheels, and so on. The nation is saving over Rs.2000 crores
every year in unfamiliar trade through the production of around six needs lots of NR, an
extremely fundamental key natural substance required for the modern advancement".
Permitting makers to import rubber under Advance Permit Plan till February 1999
Consent to import polyurethane Low Bound Kate of 25% for rubber according to the WTO
Arrangement Unabated import of NR even after the abrogation of Advance Permit Plan
in February 1999.
TECHNOLOGICAL FACTORS: -
Technological advancement in assembling and new quality improvement ideas such JIT,
Six Sigma, and so on are critical suppliers to further develop proficiency in packaging
tasks and the nature of items. Advancement in technology likewise assists with presenting
new product offerings, for instance, new items and sendoff brands that meet changing
client styles, inclinations, and utilizations. In the rubber industry, the dissemination
process is a major test since cycles can have the option to put the right items at the perfect
28
opportunity. In the tire industry, technology can give an upper hand, if it is applied in a
region, for example, calculated items into stores less extremely and costs past the
dissemination pipeline while expanding deals data accessibility.
LEGAL FACTORS: -
The Rubber Act, of 1947 accommodates the advancement of the rubber industry heavily
influenced by the Association. The Rubber Board, settled at Kottayam, Kerala, under the
organization of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been successfully supporting
the rubber industry for seventy years by attempting/helping/empowering logical,
mechanical, and monetary examination, giving preparation on superior strategies for
planting, development, manuring, and splashing, offering specialized guidance to rubber
cultivators, further developing advertising of rubber, accumulation of insights, etc.
Extensive venture from the Focal Government has been made in the last seventy years
for offering monetary help, warning, and administrative administrations through the
Rubber Board according to the prerequisite now and again.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: -
Indian rubber industry changes happening because of an Earth-wide temperature boost
and with more prominent environmental mindfulness this outer component is turning into
a huge issue for firms to consider. The developing craving to safeguard the climate is
affecting numerous enterprises, for example, the movement and transportation ventures
and the general move towards additional environmentally agreeable items and cycles are
