REVIEW ON LITERATURE

Oktaviani, and Sutisna (2021) in their study “the readiness of Eco-Tourism based
transactions in the Mount Putri Bandung (Indonesia) tourism area” shows that The Covid-19
pandemic has affected the various sectors of people's life. This impact also occurred in the
tourism aspect.
This study focused on the tourist trend in the New Normal era that encourages people to
enjoy the fresh air and natural that beauty.

Dr. Chaudhary and Manda (2021) views on the research paper “Revenge Travel or the Road
less travelled” discussed about both the pros and cons of the revenge tourism. The tourism
sector observed the considerable footfalls to famous tourist destinations domestically and
internationally. Online and physical travel agents saw higher bookings in June 2021, along
with sharp rise in domestic traffic.
The revenge tourism contrarily impacted the lives of the host community based on
economic benefit and the grounds of social, cultural, and environmental destruction. When
revenge travel is inevitable, visiting sparsely populated destinations, booking
accommodations in advance, and map routing of safe destinations are suggested in this
research.

Zaman, Raza, Abbasi, Aktan and Farias (2021) aimed in their study to provide theoretical
insights into the possible dynamics of the post-pandemic tourism industry. The results in
their study indicated that individuals who had to stay indoors during the lockdowns eagerly
want to travel to make up for the lost time once the restrictions are relaxed. While branding
themselves, destinations should highlight the fact that they provide safe and reliable
tourism services, as it intensifies revenge travellers’ motives to travel. This study also offers
some strategies to tourism professionals and destination marketers.

Abdullah (2021) in his research “Revenge Tourism: Trend or impact post-pandemic Covid-
19?” analysed the impact of the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) for the tourism industry
in Indonesia is certainly very influential. The corona pandemic resulted in a decline for the
tourism sector. The Indonesian people were predicted to flood the tourists attractions if the
government lifts social restrictions or declared Indonesia to be free from the covid-19 case.
