Objectives  

Isya - In class, he should sit close to where the teacher stands or sits when teaching and away from
noise sources when possible (e.g., door, window, heater, trash, pencil sharpener). If Isya hears better
with one ear, it should be closer to the teacher.

Strategies to make the event
inclusive
Make sure Isya has a clear view of the teacher speaking and nothing is in his way. At school, try
putting the desks in short rows or horseshoe shapes.
Use a radio aid. This is a microphone worn by the teacher that connects to a hearing aid, and
can also be passed to other pupils during activities such as group reading. This will help Isya
feels part of the class and ensure that he doesn’t miss any important information.
