MUSLIM WOMEN’S RIGHT DAY INVITES INDIAN INDUSTRY TO

Muslim Women‟s Rights Day is observed President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed

Solih has invited Indian industry to
invest in Maldives.
Addressing the India-Maldives Business
Forum in Mumbai on the evening of 3
August, he said that Maldives has
investment opportunities in various
sectors apart from tourism and Indian
entrepreneurs should invest more in
Maldives.
President Solih is currently on a four-
day visit to India at the invitation of
PM Narendra Modi.

Talaq. The new law was welcomed by all
women, especially Muslim women in India
and since then 1st August is celebrated as
Muslim Women‟s Rights Day. This year
marks the 2nd anniversary of Muslim

INDIGENOUSLY DEVELOPED
LASER-GUIDED ATGM FROM MBT
ARJUN
The indigenously developed Laser-Guided
Anti-Tank Guided Missile ATGM was
successfully test-fired on 4th August 2022
by Defense Research and Development
Organization (DRDO) & the Indian Army
from the main battle tank MBT Arjun at
the KK range at Armored Corps Center and
School Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
The missiles struck with precision and
successfully destroyed targets at two
different ranges.
The telemetry system has recorded
satisfactory flight performance of the
missiles.
The All-Indigenous Laser Guided (ATGM)
Explosive Reactive Armor uses a tandem
high explosive anti-tank heat warhead to
defeat ERA protected armored vehicles.

INTELLIGENCE HAS DETECTED
CUSTOMS EVASION OF ABOUT RS
2,217 CRORE BY VIVO MOBILE.
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence
has detected customs evasion of about Rs
2,217 crore by Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd.
Vivo India is a subsidiary of Vivo
Communication Technology Company in
China.
During the investigation, searches were
conducted in the factory premises of the
company by the agency which led to the
recovery of incriminating evidence. An
amount of Rs 60 crore has been voluntarily
deposited by Vivo India towards discharge
of its differential duty liability.

Jio became the highest bidder for 5G
spectrum, paying Rs 88,078 crore to buy
more than half of the airwaves it offered
in the recent auction. According to Telecom
Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the Adani group
paid Rs 212 crore for 400 MHz, or less
than 1% of all spectrum. Jio has also
acquired the 700 MHz band.

weightlifting and won the silver medal.
Mirabai Chanu won the 1st gold for India
at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in 49kg
women‟s weightlifting.
Gururaja Pujari won bronze medal in 61kg
men‟s weightlifting and Bindyarani Devi won
silver medal in 55kg weightlifting.
