Marking scheme, end semester exam 2017

Question 1

 7 marks for the construction lines.

 7 marks are awarded if all the intersections from the top view, profile view and the two
vanishing points are correctly drawn.
 8 marks for the final object ( 4 marks for the base and 4 marks for the top).
 8 marks are awarded if the object is completely drawn from the intersection points.
 6 marks are awarded if only the gable ( triangular top) is drawn incorrectly.
 4 marks are awarded if the base of the object ( including the cavity ) is correctly drawn from
the intersection points.
 0 marks are awarded if no object is drawn

Question 2

 4 marks for procedure for finding the shortest distance between lines
 2+2=4 marks for drawing and writing the measurement of shortest distance LM
 2 marks for drawing shortest distance (LM) in top and front views

Question 3

 4 marks for construction lines

 6 marks for final drawing

Question 4

 Front view: 4 marks

 Top view: 4 marks
 Auxiliary view: 4 marks
 Different lines: 3 marks

Question 5

 Front view after rotation of top view: 3 marks

 Front view after second rotation: 3 marks
 Final top view: 3 marks
 Usage of proper projections and neatness: 1 mark

Question 6

 Shape of the intersection - Top view(2) + Front view (2)

 Visibility of the intersection - Top view (1) + Front view(1)
 Procedure: Profile view - 3, Generators and projectors (top(2)+front(2)+Profile(2))
 Total = 2+2+1+1+3+2+2+2 = 15 marks
