politely ask for information, a favor or permission for a particular matter.

2. A complaint letter: A Complaint letters are usually sent by consumers when they're
unhappy with a service or product.
For example:
Dear seller,
I want to write a complain about your shoes I bought online last week via your website. I
received it 2 days ago delivered to my house and when I opened it the item inside was
broken.
I want to return this broken item and please send me a new one as soon as possible.
Attached is the proof of purchase.

3. A thanking letter: A thanking letter is written on any occasion when someone helps
you or give you something special.

For example:
Dear uun,

I would like to thank you for the special gift you gave me for my birthday. It meant a lot
to me. It is a very thoughtful of you. I appreciate it very much and you are the best.
