Birth - 3 September 1957. Mysore, Karnataka

His father worked as a doctor, and his


mother was a housewife a housewife.

He began practising hatha yoga when he was


13 years old.

After finishing high school, he enrolled in a


self-study English Literature course at
Mysore University.

He started his own poultry farm after


graduating.

He also established a second, more
successful construction company.
AWARDS AND
RECOGNITION
His Project Green Hands received the
Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar
from the Government of India in 2010.

Sadhguru was named one of the top 100


most influential Indians in 2012.

The Government of India awarded him


the Padma Vibhushan civilian award in
2017.
WORKS AND
CONTRIBUTIONS
He founded the 'Isha Foundation,' through which he manages all
of his yoga programmes and launches social and community
development initiatives.

In 2003, the 'Action for Rural Rejuvenation' (ARR) programme


was established.

In 2004, the foundation also launched 'Project Green Hands,' a


Tamil Nadu-based environmental initiative.

addressed the 'Millennium World Peace Summit of the United


Nations.' He has also spoken at the 'World Economic Forum.'

ISHA FOUNDATION On September 3, 2017, Sadhguru launched Rally for Rivers to


revitalise India's rapidly depleting rivers.

WORKS & CONTRIBUTIONS


Sadhguru has established schools for children
whose parents are daily wage labourers through the
Isha Vidya initiative.

Sadhguru founded Isha Home School in 2005, and


it offers a stimulating curriculum that encourages a
child's natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.

He is a prolific author who has written over 100


books in eight different languages. He is also a
gifted poet who enjoys writing poetry in his spare
time.
LEGACY
RADHE
Sadhguru's daughter is Radhe Vasudev. She is a skilled
Bharatanatyam dancer.    Radhe frequently assists her father in
various projects initiated by the Isha Foundation.

YOGINI SHLLOKA
Shlloka was a disciple of Sadhguru  and is considered as
one of the country's most promising yoga and wellness
pioneers.

VOLUNTEERS
Isha Foundation is an entirely volunteer run
organization. There are over 250,000 volunteers in
Isha Foundation.
