Daily Lesson Plan (Arts 8) Date: October 12, 2022

I. Objectives
a. Content Standard: 1. art elements and processes by synthesizing and applying prior knowledge and skills; 2. the
salient features of the arts of Southeast Asia by showing the relationship of the elements of art and processes
among culturally diverse communities in the region; 3. Southeast Asian countries as having a rich artistic and
cultural tradition from prehistoric to present times.
b. Performance Standard: The learners will…
1. create artworks showing the characteristic elements of the arts of Southeast Asia
2. exhibit completed artworks for appreciation and critiquing
c. Instructional Objectives
At the end of the period 80%of the students with 75% proficiency should be able to
1. Cognitive: identify and describe the arts & crafts of SE Asian;
2. Psychomotor: construct a simple artwork that incorporates the design, form, & spirit of SE Asian
artifacts;
3. Affective: value the unique characteristics of arts and crafts of Southeast Asia through creating
simple artwork.

III. Procedure
A. Opening activity
Review
Guide Questions:
a. What was our last topic? c. Differentiate the Batik design of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
b. What is Batik?
B. Priming
Directions: Watch the video carefully.
Guide Questions:
a. Can you name the arts and crafts shown in the picture?
b. Do you know its country of origin?
C. Development of the lesson
1. Activities
Group Activity:
Directions: Describe the pictures of artworks according to the elements of art.
2. Analysis
Guide Questions:
a. What are the arts and crafts of each country as shown in the pictures?
b. Enumerate the materials used in to create the arts and craft?
c. How elements of art affects the artwork?
3. Abstraction
Directions: Make a simple artwork that may relate to the arts & crafts of SE Asian countries.
4. Application
Guide Questions:
a. How do you create all your artwork? c. Why do arts of Southeast Asia have similarities?
b. What country did you base your simple artwork?
IV. Assignment
Using an Oslo paper and some coloring materials, draw two things each for each country which reminds you
of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Singapore.
