Chapter IV
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter deals with the presentation, analysis and interpretation of

data. It contains the textual and tabular presentation of data, quantitative and

qualitative analysis of data, and interpretation of data in the light of relevant

literature.

1. Contribution of Convenience, Product promotion, and service to the

Effectiveness of Social Media as a New Market in Business.

Convenience, product promotion, and service are the factors that

contribute to the effectiveness of social media as a market in business. These

factors were investigated in order to describe how, in what way does the

following factors given contribute to the effectiveness of social media as a

market in business.

Table 2 provides the overall assessment regarding the contribution of

convenience to the effectivity of Social Media as a New Market in Business.

Table 2 shows that convenience contributes to the effectiveness of

social media as a new market in business based on the answers of the

respondents in the survey. The respondents who answered “yes” has the

highest percentage of 76.96 %, which means that the respondents have

stated that convenience can widely contribute to the effectiveness of social

media as a new market. The table also indicates that consumers are now able

to purchase their desired products easily by the use of social media without

risking the consumers lives in amidst pandemic. In addition, these concludes

that it is more convenient for them and the respondents are at ease, which

gives rise to their comfort while their safety is guaranteed. That is why

convenience contributes to the Effectiveness of Social Media as a New

Market in Business.

Table 3 presents the assessment regarding the contribution of Product

Promotion to the Effectivity of Social Media as a New Market in Business

Table 3 presents that product promotion contributes to the

effectiveness of social media as a new market in business based on the

answers of the respondents in the survey. The respondents who answered

“yes” has the highest percentage of 80.85 %, which means that the

respondents agreed that product promotion contribute to the effectiveness of

social media as a new market. Furthermore, the respondents stated that by

the use of social media product promotion intended to reach a large number

of people to boost business online profit. Respondents also believe that

providing positive feedback is an effective method of encouraging and

educating consumers about the products promotion on online platforms.

Understanding how the product works may also be beneficial to other

consumers because it is the most important and effective type of advertising.

It is the most effective way of communicating with customers, whether

verbally, in person, or directly. That is why Product Promotion contributes to

the Effectiveness of Social Media as a New Market in Business.

Table 4 demonstrates that product promotion contributes to the

effectiveness of social media as a new market in business based on the

answers of the respondents in the survey. The respondents who answered

“yes” has the highest percentage of 80.85 %, which means that the

respondents agreed that service contribute to the effectiveness of social

media as a new market. Furthermore, the respondents have stated that if the

service provides good feedback to the customers their satisfaction will rise

that leads them to promote the business products to others. That is why

Service contributes to the Effectiveness of Social Media as a New Market in

Business.

2. Effectiveness of the selected Social Media platforms as a New Market

in Business.

Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram are the most used

platforms when it comes to marketing products. These platforms were used in

the study in order to identify how, in what certain way does these social media

platforms became effective as a market in business.

Table 5 provides the general evaluation regarding the effectivity of

Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram as a New Market in Business.

In this section the respondents are allowed to choose more than one

social media platform (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram) for every

statement that is given. The following findings are stated below.

For the statement one, 87.23 % agreed that Facebook is the most

widely used online platform in terms of proper communication for purchasing

goods and acquiring services online.

For the statement two, 68.09 % agreed that Facebook allows one to

get the most out of its use for purchases.

For the statement three, 70.21% agreed that Facebook is the most

effective platform in term of promoting products.

For the statement four, 76.60 % agreed that Facebook is the most

used social media platform in terms of purchasing products and acquiring

services.

For the statement five, 72.34 % agreed that Facebook is the most

convenient when used as a place to purchase goods and services.

For statement six, 68.08 % agreed that Facebook is the platform that

can be used more by the business owner to increase their buyers.

For statement seven, 65.96 % agreed that Facebook is the social

media platform that can be used by the business owners to maximize the

benefits for their businesses.

For statement eight, 57.45 % agreed that Facebook is the social media

platform that is usually used for better collection of information about the

specific products that you want to purchase.

For statement nine, 72.34 % agreed that Facebook is the most user-

friendly in terms of service and product purchases.

For statement ten, 74.47 % agreed that Facebook can quickly attract

most of the consumers.

3. Preferred social media platform to use by online consumers.

Many people rely on the convenience of the usage of the modern

technologies. This section provides the most used Social media platform as a

market in business according to the data gathered. Social media platforms

became widely used by consumers in order to purchase product or acquire

services. In this study, the researchers have investigated and gather

necessary data regarding which certain platform does online consumers

preferred when it comes to purchasing products and acquiring services.

Table 6 provides the general evaluation regarding the preferred social

media platform by online consumers as a new market in business. (Facebook,

YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram)

Based on the Table 6, Facebook with 87.23 % is the most preferred Social
