There are different opinions about how children should be taught to become the

ones who contribute positively to society. Some people believe that it can be
achieved by parents teaching, others, however, consider that school is the suitable
place to provide this kind of education. I believe that both points are valid.
It is certainly true that children can copy some actions of their parents. For example,
when children see that the mother or father is giving money to homeless people or
helping them in any way most likely that they will do the same in the future. That is
why parents could guide their children to be positive and valued in society. They
play an important role in being models for their heirs.
On the other hand, schools are also responsible for children’s social awareness and
education. Some subjects can be taught in order to widen students’ knowledge of
the problem issues of society. Learners can become members of school social
programs or be given project tasks by teachers that include active involvement in
social life. For example, my cousin recently learned about climate change and
decided to save energy and water. That means that schools increased awareness
among the students and can teach them to be good members of society.
In my opinion, it would be good if both parents and school were teaching children
the ways of living so that they could be useful to others. We never know who
children are going to listen to or whom to follow, that is why the more influence
they are getting from parents or educational institutions the better.
To conclude, I agree that school plays an important role in the child’s attitude to
society. Hovewer, child is going to mimic and repeat his parents' behaviour as well. I
actually believe that school and family could work together to make a good
influence .
