STORY TIME!
THE KING FISHER
Kevin Miles loves fishing. Last year he even
won a local fishing competition with flying
colors. He was grinning from ear to ear that
day. The prize was a fishing trip to the coast
to fish for sailfish. He really has to screw up
his courage to fish for sailfish, but he set his
heart on it. He boasts to his friends that it'll
be a piece of cake catching a sailfish.

WHAT ARE IDIOMS?
An idiom is a phrase, or a combination of
words, that has developed a figurative
meaning through frequency of use. Idioms are
a staple in many different languages, and are
often shared across languages through
numerous translations. They can be useful
and even fun to use, but are also bound to
confuse any new speaker of a language who
isn’t familiar with the phrase’s cultural
relevance.
