Title: ALTERNATIVE LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES (ALDMs) OF

GRADE SCHOOL TEACHERS: ENHANCING READINESS IN THE NEW
NORMAL TEACHING PEDAGOGIES

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Justify the need to conduct the study by describing your experiences and observations
about the readiness of the teachers in using ALDMs at the height of the pandemic;
2. Justify the conduct of the study on ALDMs since we are now on post-pandemic. Integrate
presence of other calamities that necessitate the continuing capacitation of teachers on
ALDMs;
3. Find local studies of the same nature and integrate them in your discussion of the
variables involved in the study;
4. Contextualize the ALDMs based on the experiences of the elementary schools in your
target locale;
5. Find a study that made use of the same tool and look for reliability measures so that you
won’t pilot-test anymore;
6. Justify the choice of big schools;
7. In the results and discussions, code the schools to keep the data information anonymous;
8. Transfer the themes written in the Introductory Part to the conceptual framework
(definitions). Just integrate studies based on the arrangement of variables;
9. Use capacitations rather than seminars or trainings (second indicator on school support);
and
10. Enhance the Learning Continuity Plan by enriching it with your recommendations (based
on need of each school);
11. Remove all other variables (personal demographics), concentrate on the comparison per
school; and
12. Revise the title to “Enhancing Readiness in the New Normal” (for now), later we finalize
given the results.

Title: TEACHERS’ INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP COMPETENCE AND

MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC TOWARDS
A REVITALIZATION PROGRAM: EXPERIENCES OF A CITY DISTRICT

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Enrich the introductory part by integrating DepEd memo/thrusts/programs about

enhancing teachers’ instructional leadership behavior and management core areas in
public schools;
2. Spell out SEAMEO instead of just an acronym…. Justify the choice of SEAMEO as a
model for instructional leadership;
3. Integrate local studies highlighting Filipino philosophy on leadership;
4. Consider another variable like: IPCR 2020 or 2021 (Correlation Test in both two areas);
5. Consider another variable like: Designation: ____ with Admin Position (Coor,
chairpersons) ____ without AP (Fulltime teachers);
6. Get all teachers with Admin Position (example 50) then do representative sample for
fulltime (60) equals 110;
7. Justify the need for the conduct of the study by gauging one’s personal rating of the
proponents’ instructional leadership in the intro;
8. Remove Age as a variable;
9. Another question for correlation of IPCR and Instructional Leadership and Management
behavior;
10. Remove the two questions on Across, there will be four inferential questions;
11. Study the tool, merge some items which are similar; and
12. Revise the title: Instructional Leadership Competence, Management Behavior and
Performance Appraisal of Teachers: Towards a Revitalization Program.

Title: TEACHERS’ WORK MORALE AND PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL: BASIS

FOR SCHOOL-BASED INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Include the current scenario in the Tagaytay City District about teachers’ work morale
during the pandemic or the now normal;
2. Integrate personal observation or experiences. You can do it as you are the designated
head;
3. Transfer some ideas from the theoretical framework and integrate them in the
introductory part or whichever part necessary or appropriate;
4. Look for local studies on work morale and performance in the context of the now
normal…. Many are foreign;
5. Since the source is foreign (Anderson, 2020), what does DepEd say about the four
domains? What memoranda orders, thrusts and or programs have been forwarded to
teachers during the pandemic in relation to the four domains;
6. Look for Anderson’s reliability measures of the tool. If none, there may be a need to
pilot-test;
7. If the final tool is a continuous listing of item indicators, there is a need to create a Table
of Specification showing the item placement per domain immediately after the
description of the research instrument;
8. Remove Tagaytay City Science High School but justify. The total is now 202 instead of
387;
9. Include a problem relative to the open-ended question. Thematize the ideas to create
patterns in the participants’ insights;
10. It is preferable that the 5 PhD candidates whose locale included the four schools may
arranged the data gathering in such a way that a guided survey can be done as one; and
11. Grade level assignation and age be removed from the demographic profile.

Title: EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT AND WORKPLACE CHALLENGES DURING

COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN RELATION TO SOME TEACHER-RELATED
ANTECEDENTS: THE CASE OF A DEPED CITY DISTRICT

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Establish research gap by describing at the last portion of the introduction what is
observed or experienced in the locale to serve as clinching paragraph;
2. In the discussion of the EQ, cite some guru(s) that spearheaded the movement (multi-
intelligences);
3. Integrate Filipino psychology like inclinations, philosophies relative to emotion
(subjectivity) of the orientalists;
4. Include another variable: IPCR of teachers (2020/2021) (Correlate it with EQ);
5. Revise the second box to include IPCR as a variable. One problem for this.
6. Remove highest educational attainment and number of years of teaching, and teaching
designation;
7. 202 final respondents but has to pilot-test in Tagaytay City Science High School but
justify (differences in curriculum descriptions); and
8. Working Title: EQ, Workplace Challenges and Performance Appraisal of Public High
School Teachers

Title: TEACHERS’ OCCUPATIONAL WELLBEING AND CHALLENGES

EXPERIENCED DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: TOWARDS A
PROTOTYPE PROJECT TO ENHANCE WORKPLACE COMFORT

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Establish research gap by describing at the last portion of the introduction. Repeat again
what is observed or experienced in the locale to serve as clinching paragraph;
2. Transfer some ideas from the theoretical framework and integrate them in the
introductory part or whichever part necessary or appropriate;
3. Integrate DepEd Memo, circular, thrusts or programs (working arrangements) relative to
occupational wellness;
4. 202 final respondents but has to pilot-test in Tagaytay City Science High School but
justify (differences in curriculum descriptions);
5. Include another variable: IPCR of teachers (2020/2021) (Correlate it with Occupational
Wellness);
6. Revise the second box to include IPCR as a variable. One problem for this; and

Title: ACADEMIC RESILIENCE IN A POST PANDEMIC ERA: MOTIVATIONAL

ENHANCEMENT TOWARDS STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC SUCCESS

Suggestions / Comments for Improvement

1. Establish the context of the locale relative to academic resilience;

2. Transfer some ideas from the theoretical framework and integrate them in the
introductory part or whichever part necessary or appropriate;
3. Senior High School Students (sample)
4. Let the students check their Religious Affiliation first, and then later try to statiscally
balance. Do not label them as Catholics and Non-Catholics immediately;
5. What other variables might impinge upon the participants’ academic resilience? Include
variable like First Term Grade (average grade) and relate it to academic resilience coz
anyway, we are already face to face;
6. Include another problem like level of academic performance of Senior High School
students during the first term grade and then correlate it with academic resilience;
7. School A School B School C
Grade 11 – 25 Grade 11 – 25 Grade 11 – 25
Grade 12 – 25 Grade 12 – 25 Grade 11 – 25
8. Total of 150 students in three schools (50 per school);
9. Study the item indicators. There are negative and positive items which are in actuality the
antonym. Remove one either negative or positive (when it is negative, do reverse
coding);
10. Follow Guided survey technique;
11. Revise Title: “Academic Resilience, Challenges Experienced and Academic
Performance of Senior High School Students”
