ORAL READING COMPREHENSION QUIZ BEE

GENERAL MECHANICS

1. The contest is open to one participant per section and is INDIVIDUAL in nature.
2. The contest materials shall be provided by the organizers.
3. The quiz bee shall covers excerpts from different literary and academic text.
4. The contest shall have two (2) levels: elimination and final round.
5. The elimination round is composed of ten (10) questions worth 2 points eachand the
participants who meets the cut-off scores (12points ) shall proceed to the next round.
6. The final round is composed of three (3) rounds namely: EASY (1 ponit each), AVERAGE (3
points each), and DIFFICULT (5 points each)

1. The questions shall be flashed on the TV screen and shall be read by the Quizmaster.
2. After the second reading, the quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the participants be
allowed to write their answers.
3. 5 After the time-limit, a whistle shall be blown by the time-keeper. The participants must
stop writing and raise their answer boards.
4. The three (3) participants with the highest number of points shall be declared winners:
(1st placer, 2nd placer and 3rd placer.)
5. In case of a tie, a clincher question shall be given to split the tie.
