Activity 1.1 Patterns and Numbers in Nature and the World

Direction:
 Look for visible patterns inside/outside the house.
 Explain why or how the objects form a pattern.
 Identify the pattern as Self-organized or Invoked organized. Explain.

Pattern Explanation Types of Patterns

 Floor Mat Gray Color  I chose the Floor Mat  Invoked Organized
Patterns: Wood like rectangular considered as a pattern patterns.
shaped design. because it is obvious that
it has a rectangular wood
shape-like texture and also
it is repeating itself which
has same shapes
repeatedly, so I considered
the floor mat as pattern.
 I considered it as a pattern
 Bed Sheet for me because it has  Invoked Organized
Patterns: Circles, Checkers, squares with similar patterns.
Flowers, Lines and Grids. colors, and also repeating
designs such as flowers,
checkers, lines, grids, and
large circles per box. In
total, designs are still the
same. So I suggest that my
bed sheet has patterns.
 Floor Rug  The reason why I choose  Invoked organized
Patterns: Horizontal Lines, and floor rug because It shows patterns
pink and black squares. some black horizontal
lines, and also has pink
and black squares
repeating vertically.
 T-Shirt  It is pretty obvious that  Invoked-Organized
Patterns: White-Green striped my t-shirt has pattern of patterns.
