PROJECT OVERVIEW

This chapter discusses the Abstract of the Study,

Background of the Study, Company Profile, Statement of the

Problem, and Definition of Terms.

Abstract of the Study

This Location System/Tracking System for the observing

of persons or objects on the move and supplying a timely

ordered sequence of location data for further processing.

Dropping area Tracking System (DATS) is a web-based

system that enables sellers to view all data’s. The system

is developed in accordance through the use of the dropping

area’s access of data’s of all the buyers item’s and

information and product data’s. Good inventory management is

important because orders can be dispatched quickly, which

leads to better costumer experiences. A lot of the things

from the modern world follow a pattern that will be easily

categorize to an organize manner so that it will ease

everything to an easier life and to help the organization in

a proper management and order, hench this is why we are

currently in line into helping dropping areas to organize

things properly for them in order to meet their customer’s

needs. In addition to that we would also want the employee’s

to lessen the burden of un arrange cargo’s that will

interrupt the proficiency of their work. A lot of dropping

areas have been built and we also want to minimize the

hassle for the customers to find what they are looking for

by simply displaying the nearest dropping are to their

specific location so that it will help them to navigate not

only the area’s with dropping area but also to lessen their

burden to find it manually. The entire purpose of our

project is to secure both customer’s and employer’s meet

their needs and satisfaction by displaying our project to

help them organize their work.

Background of the Study

Tracking system also known as locating system is a

highly flexible tool that enables software organizations to

create their own systems for tracking bugs and enhancement

requests. There is no need to change your current method of

making and tracking requests. Unlike commercial off-the-

shelf systems, which are usually limited to a specific

methodology and are difficult to modify, Tracker systems can

be built from the ground up or from one of the starter

systems provided. This study is related to the use of

technology and a software to produce a system that trace the

documents with the use of the tracking system in dropping

area.

System Profile

It shows that the dropping areas known as also the

sellers to track throughout the data processes. To manage

sales as well and the data’s of the buyers. To also help

manage the relationships between the sellers and their

customers. It usually provides set process workflows so

sales people know where each prospect stands at any given

point in time and which steps need to be taken next.

Importance of the Study

This study proposed a system which you to create your

own program that fit your needs. This study is favorable and

beneficial to the following:

To the Sellers. This study will help the seller to

monitor his or her sales once drop, pick up and paid.

To the buyers. This study will help the buyer/s that

their items are drop in good condition.

To the Dropping Areas. This study will help our

dropping areas to secure and monitor their costumers’ item

being dropped and pick up by the owner.

To the Researchers. This research will provide great

innovation and enhancement of knowledge, and ideas in

accomplishing the study.

To the Future Researchers. The proposed system serves

as documentation and evidence to future researchers who are

willing to improve or enhance this study to make it better.

Statement of the Problems

This study aims to develop a centralized tracking

system for drop-in and will aim to answer the following

question:

1. What are the processes on fulfilling this study?

2. What are the problems online seller’s/ buyer’s

encounter when dropping or claiming a product?

3. What are the features in the design and development of

the proposed Tracking System of Drop-in’s in Baguio

City?

Objectives of the Study

The main objective of the study is to answer and give

the problems stated in this study and to be able to give

more insight in the use of Centralized Tracking System for

Drop-ins in Baguio City.
