d) The diagrams should be printed on a light/white background; Tabular matter should be
clearly arranged. The caption for figure must be given at the bottom of the Fig. and caption
for the Table must be given at the Top of the Table.
e) The synopsis must be submitted only after it has been thoroughly verified, signed and
discussed with the concerned project supervisor.
The following format of synopsis is being followed for synopsis submission;
SYNOPSIS
PROJECT-1 (REE754)

SESSION: 2020-21
GROUP NO:

Title of the project:

Project supervisor’s name:

Group Members:
Roll No. Name of student Mobile no. Email ID Signature

Signature of the project supervisor:

Recommended/ Not- Recommended by the Departmental Evaluation Committee

The synopsis must include the following points.

1. INTRODUCTION
2. LITERATURE REVIEW
Detailed summary of what all has been done in the proposed area quoting references as
[1], [2], etc. Please note that this section demonstrates the depth of knowledge of the
project team and builds the confidence of the evaluators about capability of the team in
achieving the stated objectives.

3. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

Please describe the measurable objectives of the project and define the expected results.
Use results-oriented wording with verbs such as ‘to develop.’, ‘to implement.’, ‘to
research.’, ‘to determine. ‘, ‘to identify....’
The objective should actually specify in simple words what the project team intends to
achieve (something concrete and measurable/ deliverable). Objectives can be written
point wise; at most four achievable objectives can be kept (E.g. Objective-1,
Objective-2, Objective-3, Objective-4)

4. CHALLENGES
(Please describe the challenges, specific to this research topic, currently being faced)

5. PROPOSED BLOCK DIAGRAM OF THE PROJECT

The basic schematic diagram/ block diagram or the circuit diagram describing the complete
project is to be added in this section. The block diagram should not be copied from any
published sources rather it should be self-designed in consultation with supervisor.

6. METHODOLOGY TO ACHIEVE THE SPECIFIC OJECTIVE

Describe how each objective is to be achieved. Each methodology must correspond to the
specific objective. Use of flow chart is encouraged in describing the methodology.

7. REPONSIBILITY OF EACH MEMBER

Name of Member 1:
Name of Member 2:
Name of Member 3:
8. TIME LINE AND & TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:
{Break your work into number of tasks and associate a logical sequence to them. Generate time
line chart to mark timelines also mark key miles stones achieved/deliverables in a result of
completing an intermediate task.}
