Students are interested in odd facts.

Anticipated problems:
At some point the Ss might find the lesson too static.

Materials:
-textbook

Activity 1-Warm up
Aims:
-to raise Ss’ interest in the topic
-to develop speaking skills

Procedures: Interaction Timing
1. Ss are asked to give their opinion regarding the
punishments that should be applied for someone who: S-S, T-S, S-T 5’
-steals a pen at the office
-runs over a cat with their car
-tricks somebody into buying a faulty TV set
-kills a family to steal their car

Activity 2-Reading Comprehension

Aims:
-to develop reading skills
-to encourage critical thinking
-to broaden vocabulary

Procedures: Interaction Timing


1. Ss do individually task I on worksheet.

2.Ss read the text on pages 142-143 and answer questions. PW 12’
(ex2/p142 questions 1,2,4-individually, ex3,4/142-PW)
The whole activity aims at motivating the Ss to read and

1. In pairs Ss do ex1, 2/ 143. (finding words in the text) PW 4’
2. In groups of 5-6 Ss create a poem, following a given pattern.
Task II/worksheet
II Read the following poem, decide on its pattern and
discuss it in class, and then, in your groups write
your own poem entitled Law. Make sure you use GW 7’
at least 2 adjectives from exercises 1/143 and 2/143.
