7.2 Reporting Verbs

Some of these verbs can be followed by an infinitive or -ing form.
VERB + OBJECT + that advise assure inform reassure remind tell warn ‘ Don’t worry. You’ll arrive on time.’ She

Reporting verbs + infinitive
VERB + to INFINITIVE agree demand guarantee offer promise propose refuse swear ‘We’ll collect the children, if you like.’ They

Reporting verbs + -ing form
