Exercise 1
Comparison of strengths and weaknesses of activity on node diagrams and activity on arrow diagrams.

 If we use activity on arrow diagrams we can show only finish to start relationships. But when we use activity on nodes diagrams we can show more details on the activities Such as Earliest start date, Earliest finish date, Latest start date, Latest finish date, Activity span, Float.

 And also when we use activity on arrow diagrams sometimes we will have to use dummy nodes to represent complex relationships and dependencies between activities. Activity on nodes diagrams show relationships by arrows. Because of that it doesn t require dummy nodes.

 Activities on nodes diagrams are more flexible than activity on arrow diagrams and they can show all of major types of relationships.

 In activity on nodes diagrams, since the activity is on the node more data can be placed on the activity.  Activity on the arrow diagrams on the other hand presents only the most important elements and provides a summarized idea of the total picture in an easy to understand format.

In this diagram there is no logical error in representation. But in activity of E s direction cannot be reversed. Because it represents the duration (time) of that activity.

There is a loop in this diagram (G, F, E ). Loops are cannot be there in activity on arrow diagrams. So we added node 6 and activity G to avoid that loop.
