Engaging Activities

A. What is your understanding about the role of data

science in the community?

The role of data science is significant in analyzing

and creating machine learning models based on
this data. This is because these datasets are used
to generate valuable insights. So, it's reasonable
to assume that as analysis and machine learning
improve, so will the demand for data science

B. What are the qualifications and skills of a data scientist?

• Data scientists require soft skills that include

intellectual curiosity, intuition, skepticism, and
creativity.
• Interpersonal skills are also a critical character a
data scientist should possess when it comes to
working across members of the team.
• Data scientists should be a strong storyteller
who know how to present data insights to all
levels of an organization.
• They should also possess leadership skills to
steer data-driven decision-making processes in
an organization to predict risks for handling the
massive amount of data required for predictive
analytics.

C. Discuss at least three applications of data science? Cite

example.
• The application of data science tackle about
the future through faster computing and
cheaper data storage.
• The cutting-edge algorithms of machine
learning and Artificial Intelligence have
changed almost every industry.

D. Briefly explain the importance of data science.

The importance of data science is based on the
ability to take existing data that is not necessarily
useful on its own and combine it with another data
points to generate insights an organization can use
to
learn more about its customer and audience _
