Bar Cutting & Bending at Steel

Yard.
Hit Hazard Area to be hard barricaded and restricted entry for
Shifting & Straightening of Steel all other than those who are engaged on the work.

Will give them tool box regarding the same and to

explained the back hit while straightening the rod.

Bar bending pillar have to be strong enough to

carry load while straightening the rod.

PPE’s, Safety Helmet with Chin Strip, Safety

Shoes, Goggles, Reflective Vest, Cotton Hand
gloves) to be provided for all.

Cutting of Steel
Defective Machines/Electric
Shock Cutting machine to be checked and certified by the
electrical engineer.

All rotating parts of the machine to be guarded.

Avoid running of cable through sharp edges.

Electric cable of cutting machine on the ground

level to be insulated using flexible pipe.

All connections to be done through ELCB only.

R.P.M of Cutting wheel should be higher or should

match the R.P.M of the Machine.

Hit Hazard/Cut Hazard Trained and experienced person will aloowed to do

the cutting work.

PPE’s (Safety Helmet with Chin Strip, Shoes,

goggles and hand gloves to be provided.

Rotating Parts guard to be placed before stating

the cutting work.

Tool box to be given to all on daily basis.

No use of chisel or hammer to be used for cutting

of steel.

Eye Hazard

Safety goggles to be provided to all workers.

Bending of steel Hit Hazard

Trip Hazard

All unwanted steel have to be replaced from the

steel yard to the Scrap yard.

Steel should be stacked properly inside the steel

yard.

Steel after bending should also stacked properly.

Continuous supervision to be provided.

Shifting of reinforcement steel Mobile Plant/Hit hazard
to the work area using tough
rider
Tough rider have to be provided with head lights,
tail lamps, Horn, Reverse horn and Rear view
glass.

Authorised person to be allowed to operate the

tough rider.

During the placement of tough rider for unloading
one person have to be there to guide the same.

Continuous supervision to be provided.

Proper Scaffolding to be provided with Cross

bracing, Mid rail, Guard rail & top rail to be
provided.
Shutering / concreting at 112 lable Fall Hazard
height Toe board Platform with proper access.

Scaffolding to be certified and Safe to Use board to

be displayed.

Scaffolding to be done by a trained gang under

strict supervision.

Underneath area to be isolated and cleared from

all unwanted materials.

Full body harness with double lanyard to be

provided for those who are working more than 2
mtrs and to be hooked properly at the top.

The ramp or step staging with railing to be

permanently Clamped with the structure to avoid
trip hazard.

Material Fall hazard resulting to

De-shuttering
Injuries to workers. Shuttering material to be tied properly before lifting
and the underneath area to be isolated from
movements of workers.

House Keeping Trip /hit Hazard

Work area should be neat and clean after

completing the work.

All the scraps to be shifted to the specified scrap

yard.

Remove all the materials used for shuttering from

the work area and shifted to the yard as soon as
the de-shuttering work ends or properly stacked at
the work place for reuse.

Working at night
Proper illumination to be provided at the work area
as per required or depends on the work.
