ATTENDANCE MONITORING SYSTEM USING

FACIAL RECOGINITION
Abstract: Face recognition are very important technologies these days, furthermore we
noticed that they got have a variety of uses such as cellphones, army uses, and some
high-risk information offices. There are many automated methods for the same available
like Biometric, RFID, eye detection, voice recognition, and many more. This paper
provides an efficient and smart method for marking attendance. As it is known that
primary identification for any human is its face provides an accurate system which
overcomes the ambiguities like fake attendance, high cost, and time consumption.

Introduction: The objective of this project is to recognize the face of an individual

accurately based on the face database. This is a project about Facial Recognition-Based
Attendance System for several purposes. We decided to make a software that detects
and recognize the face as a student attendance system and can be a substitute for the
regular paper attendance system and finger print attendance system.

Tools and Technology:

 Python 3.7 higher interpreter

 NumPy

 OpenCV

 Visual studio latest version for C++ development environment along with
Cmake
 JetBrains PyCharm
