Of mice and men

The book “Of mice and men” is a tragedy genre book. It was written by John Steinbeck. The book
was released in the 1937 but the story tells around 1920.

The book is about the story of George Milton and his friend Lennie Small. They are two displaced
ranch workers who travel from place to place to find a new job. But it’s more difficult than it sounds
because Lennie acts always like a child and George has to look for him, and the other characters in
the book like Curley and his wife aren’t doing it better for them.

The end of the book is very emotional. Lennie has accidentally killed Curley’s wife, so he goes in
the woods and waits for his friend. George knows that Curley is going to kill Lennie, so he tells
Lennie’s favorite story about their dream. While George is telling the story he shoots Lennie in the
back of his head, so he don’t suffer. The book has receive the Kerrang! Award and has also a movie
who is called exactly like the book.

I didn’t thought that the book was that good. The end really surprised me and convinced me. I
recommend the book the everyone. It’s a book that you should have read once.
