Job Purpose
This role is responsible to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. They are
responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the data storage system before it goes live

Job Description

 Must be an individual contributor and should manage tasks with minimum guidance
 Analyze business requirements, System requirements and data mapping requirements.
 Coordinate with client, leadership and development team and publish status and results on timely manner.
 Perform BI and ETL Testing manually and/or via automation
 Responsible for creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
 Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and Defect leakage.
 Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
 Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify testing requirements
 Provide summary and detailed Test Execution report to Test Lead/Test Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience


Job Experience  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar technical field
 Total 6-8 years of experience in Data Warehousing / BI Testing, using any ETL and
Reporting Tool with Oracle / SQL Server / Redshift as a Database.
 6+ years of hands with writing SQL and handling Table Views and Store procedure
 3+ Years of Experience in BI & ETL Testing and DB migration related project
experience
 Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, and working experience in latest
Test tools (Azure TFS / JIRA /ALM )
 Must have hands-on experience in writing SQL queries and data validation
 Must be able to understand different ETL related process and terminologies and
relevant QA process
 Must have good communication skills (verbal and written) to be able articulate the
problem statement and follow-up on getting resolution affirmatively
 Good to have experience with ETL Testing on SQL Synapse and Teradata
 Retail knowledge would be a value add
 Hands on experience with Test Automation tools for ETL and Data Migration testing.
 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with problem-solving
skills
