Corporate Legality versus Corporate Responsibility

Ahmad alsharif – 218BA3132

1. If you were one of the board members, how would you have initially
voted for the proposal? What would your vote be after the recess in the
meeting? Why?
In my opinion, if I am going to think about the interest of the company or
factory, I will vote and be with this idea and it will be a solution to the
problem and will bring additional profit to the byte factory until the
completion of the construction of the other factory. But on the other hand,
when hiring 1200 workers for a temporary period, it is also a solution to
reduce the unemployment rate, but jobs will be lost after 3 years unless the
employees have the opportunity to work in the main company, or at least
someone with high qualifications is appointed to continue working.
2. Should the Byte executives tell the town administration and potential
employees that this is a temporary plant for three years?
My opinion: Yes, they should be told, so that this solution is not only for the
benefit of the company. Because at first, there will be a positive impact on
the city and its residents in terms of providing job opportunities, but after 3
years the impact will disappear and the city will return to the weak point,
so this could be a temporary solution for the city and an opportunity to find
a solution for the city and its residents within the three years, even if it will
be Temporary company closing.
3. What impact does a plant closing have on a small town like Plainville?
What impact does the closing have on the employees?
Opening a new factory in just three years and closing it soon would destroy
the city. The city's economy is on the verge of collapse. Like the housing
market will rise due to potential jobs in new mega factories. Then, three
years later, when the company is back on its feet and on the move, real
estate will be worthless and the impact of factory closures on employees is
much more severe. About 1200 new jobs will be created, but after 3 years
they will be unemployed again and may have to move to a new location
with byte or start from scratch.
4. Can you suggest any compromise for the present impasse?
My opinion, and it could be a solution that satisfies all parties, that this
factory is not temporary, but rather is the fourth branch.
If there is an abundance of money to open a temporary factory, why not be
permanent. In this case, the productivity of the company and the city's
economy will increase, in addition to providing job opportunities.
5. If you were Elliott, would you call for a vote on your proposal, or
postpone the vote until the next meeting?
If I were in Elliot's place, I would postpone the vote until the next meeting,
because it is possible in this period, even if it is short, to create new ideas
that help solve this problem because a quick decision can lead to a disaster
that hinders productivity completely, and of course not to delay making the
decision for a long time so as not to The main factories are affected
negatively.
