INSTALLATION OF POWER CLUTCH

In figure (1) install the power clutch in place of the

stock pressure plate. Making sure the adjuster screw
and nut fit properly in the center location. Install the
six clutch springs and then set the six aluminum
spacers inside the six springs. When you install the
steel cover plate with the six screws they will go
through the center of the spacers and springs giving
you proper clearance. This is also where you will
install the ball bearings see chart for combination.

Figure 1

Figure (2) this is where you adjust the clearance on

the adjuster nut. Turn the center screw by hand until
it makes contact with the push rod & ball bearing
and then back it off a 1/8 to1/4 turn. Make sure the
power clutch is aligned with the teeth on the inner
hub and fits securely and tight up against the clutch
pak. With a Phillips screw driver and a 12mm
wrench lightly snug up the locking nut.

Figure (3) this is what the power clutch will look
like after everything is installed clutch springs,
spacers, ball bearings, steel cover plate and flat head
screws. At this point you can make the final
adjustments on the adjuster screw and nut. Make
sure the arrow on the actuator lever aligns with the
arrow on the top of the case make sure you have
proper clutch lever play and finally take a 12mm
socket and snug up the locking nut on the adjuster
screw so it won’t come loose.
