on all 4006 and 4012 models.

Modern/Proven technology with a gear reduced starter

Availability Production introduction is due to commence March 2010.


The existing MS1 Starter motor will remain in production to
support the Aftermarket requirements.

Pricing Information
The change will not affect the engine pricing.
Extended operating temperature: -40.Deg C to +105.Deg C
General Comments (increased from the previous -30.Deg C to + 105.Deg C)

Longer life brushes

Soft engagement system that improves the ability for the starter
pinion to engage with the ring gear.

Mounted control relay.


Where twin starters are featured and a single starter requires
replacement, it is essential that it is replaced with the same type
starter.
Old & new type starters should not be mixed on the same
engine.
